That’s our modus operandi say things are different leak that stuff to press and ITK. How many times have we heard, “we’re in a different league now”, “we are being more ambitious” when we end up spending less than teams who finished below us. When it comes to making the next step The business man in Levy believes that the manager can do better with what he’s got as the manager is good. He expects more from the same team. The optimism that we had at the beginning of last summer, after qualifying for the CL, seems to have been completely trampled on.
On the contrary - look at how far he has taken Spurs with very limited investment from the ownership group.Levy may not be a football man but he's smart enough to realise you can't get anywhere in this game without investment.
I disagree with this.It doesn't make any sense to me that a shrewd businessman like Levy would do a 180 turn on backing Conte less than a few months ago.
Levy may not be a football man but he's smart enough to realise you can't get anywhere in this game without investment. No need for 80m superstar purchases, we have Fabio to identify value in the market. We were never going to lay down 80m+ on a player. Not many clubs can!
Why can't we?It doesn't make any sense to me that a shrewd businessman like Levy would do a 180 turn on backing Conte less than a few months ago.

That will be happening no matter what Levy does. There’s no way any club will compete with their level of funding now.Saudi Arabia FC will overtake take us soon
It could all go to pot long before then. January is starting to feel like one of those pivotal windows for us. If we don't get one or two key men in and we don't get Champions League football then summer could be irrelevant. I doubt Conte hangs around after that, and rightly so. Couple of big ifs, granted, but seems mad to tighten the purse strings at this stage.Let's not panic, things can change. Let's see how the summer plays out before losing it.
Do you get a trophy for this ?On the contrary - look at how far he has taken Spurs with very limited investment from the ownership group.
When ENIC first took control of Tottenham, the club was valued at £60m - its now worth ~£2B+. That is a pretty strong ROI ("Republic of Ireland" for @Archibald&Crooks ).
So to shift this back to cheaper deals and the implied contracts running down, here’s a list of all players who’s deal runs to the end of the season:
Contracts expiring
This overview shows all players whose contracts expire in the upcoming summer, sorted by their current market value.www.transfermarkt.co.uk
Seems to correlate a bit with some recent links to Thuram and Ndicka, would also tie in with the links to De Vrij, not sure on the quality of those links though. Some value to be had here for sure though. And can all be spoken with in Jan.
I’d be all over dalot too if he doesn’t sign a new contract. I think he’s fantasticSo to shift this back to cheaper deals and the implied contracts running down, here’s a list of all players who’s deal runs to the end of the season:

Shrewd property developer yes, nothing more than that, an incompetent bollocks more like. A shrewd football businessman would have seen the revenue opportunities available from on field success during Levy’s tenure , Nelson & Saha, the year we were going for the league with Poch and came out of the January transfer window with not one addition are the sad truths .There can be no defending Levy any longer, on the field is where success is measured and one trophy in 20+ years ends the argument before it even starts and has done so for the last ten years at least as far as I am concerned. You will never hear a retired player in future say their greatest achievement was all the times Tottenham made a profit or increased their land mass.It doesn't make any sense to me that a shrewd businessman like Levy would do a 180 turn on backing Conte less than a few months ago.
