The whole defensive unit was terrible today. KWP was part of that, but every single one of them deserves some of the blame. KWP is an academy product and if he works out, that's phenomenal, if he doesn't, so be it. Don't think it's right to absolutely destroy the little guy when he barely plays and we expect him to come out and play flawlessly.

We can't keep having these one appearance every blue moon with him, I think it's right to be more critical of Aurier and Trippier because they're senior players in the team but Poch needs to decide what he wants to do with KWP, either give him a run of games at which point if he continues to play like this then he will not be good enough or he needs to Loan him. He can't have this where a 21 year old player is getting 1 game every 20 and expected to be the level we need.

If he's only allowed to play once every moon cycle then he's not going to get better. We have to live with his mistakes now and hope he's going to improve. Unfortunately with the way shape we're playing with we're giving our full-backs a tough job and putting them in vulnerable positions.

The pettiness in this thread is embarrassing. Objectiveness would be nice every once in a while.

The double standard is quite clear and all too common.

Can you please tell me how it’s double standard

It’s not like I’m blaming Trippier after one mistake I’m blaming him because he makes multiple mistakes and some of them has cost us. Everyone knows I don’t rate him and want us to sell him, it’s not like I’m hiding it

And KWP was good today especially in the first half, yes in the second half he did make mistakes that you can blame him for but he’s played so little football in the last 3 seasons you just can’t expect him to play once every few months and expect him to be brilliant throughout the whole game and have energy the whole game

And at least I don’t wait for Trippier to make a mistake just so I can blame him, it looks like you wait for Aurier and KWP to make a mistake and you’re happy because you can blame them

KWP won't be the future superstar you're all hoping he'll become.

Ah here we go again blaming one individual player for a collective loss....

He was very good in the first half but people will still say he’s not good enough blablabla do you seriously expect a 21 year old who never plays to just play brilliantly throughout the whole game?

Imo now is the time to keep giving him game time so he can actually develop
Dont know why you disagreed with me if this is your view ?

He had good and bad moments today but personally Poch/whoever needs to figure out who is going to be the main 'featured' right back and stick with them for some games.

I know he rotates but some continuity at the back wouldn't go a miss right now.

I will never get my head around why Aurier wasn't given the opportunity to kick on after a good game vs Dortmund especially with Trippier absent. Pure arrogance from Poch to drop Aurier and Alder.

The screams of 'investment' may have a place and time, but yet again for the the forth league game in a row he made tactical decisions that made no fucking sense.

I was happy to see KWP get a start but why rest Toby? Three weeks (baring the internationals) it's not liked he wouldn't get time to rest up.
