I know we're really down on the club but actually imagine...

_________Lloris__________

___Tanganga__Romero __dier_

Emerson______________Reguillion

_________skipp___Holjberg_____

___________lo celso or N'dombele___

_________kane_____Son_________

That's a balanced team that if coached correctly could do great things.

Plenty of cover in defence, centre midfield is the biggest weakness but good coaching could make them effective and the thought of a kane and son partnership under conte is mouth watering

Plus playing two up front mean both berjwijn and moura can be one of the two and scarlett could also play but without the pressure of being a lone striker.

Going forward I think he would want another top midfielder and striker at the least but that's what we should want anyway.

skipp and PEH together in the midfield is part of the lack of creativity shit show

All reeks of more Levy spin.....the usual we tried to get the likes of Conte, ETH, Potter, Rodgers etc etc but we will wind up with Mason for weeks followed by God knows who. Even if we do get Conte or similar, Levy will likely screw them over like he did all the rest over he past 20 years. I want to be hopeful, but we have all been here before.

No english sources yet, reeks of him trying to force utds hand
The Fabrizio Romano stuff sounds like it’s come from Paratici (“Conte has always been top of Paratici’s list since last summer”) and ditto Di Marzio. Whether there’s a real chance Conte can be convinced this time, well… let’s see.

Get the Porto dude in

Yeah ,Sérgio Conceição. Looking at his results last season, his tactical flexibility is refreshing. Looks like he'll ( to the best of his and his teams ability ) tailor make a formation for specific teams. Porto's run in the CL last year was solid. Eventually losing to the would be champions.

Also this description about how his teams play:

He’s built a fantastic team at Porto using a very fluid 4-4-2 with the fullbacks charging forward and the wingers drifting into central spaces. He likes having the ball (top possession in the league) and wants to move it quickly with short passes to stress opposing defensive structures. Without the ball, he presses with a front five, hoping to force opponents into mistakes, and also uses a very high defensive line.

I just want someone that plays mainly offensive football that will allow Bergwijn, Moura, Son, Kane, Gil, Ndombele and even fecking Dele Alli play to their strengths and stop them looking so bloody lame. If we lose a few but they get us off our seats I can live with it.

Dragon1 has just posted this on COYS forum about Conte

It wasn’t just that he demanded a 100 million net spend by the fourth or fifth day of negotiations we thought he was a lunatic and would be incredibly difficult to work with , there would hsve to be a humungous turn around for him to come

potter rejected us twice , Rodgers the same and gerrard once , god knows what happens this time

Daniel does not like nuno they know they made a mistake but he was always short term until Poch could escape Paris but the crowds reaction yesterday shocked the board and many of the senior players do not like nuno

my concern about this post is the part about the players not liking Nuno. They’re not all going to love half the names on the list and feck it, they should just do their job ffs. Too many cry babies in this squad

Exactly this! If what we here is accurate this will be the third manager in a row players have complained about to have removed! Based on how poor we are I’d say it’s time to remove all those ‘senior’ whingers!!

Nuno showed at the start of the season we can perform. For me, a new coach only needs to motivate- get the spirit back in the team. New coach -Alli will make another come back (more comebacks than Frank Sinatra ) and Winks will bleat he wants to play .

If you remove the bollocks and look at our squad, this is what you get. And its probably generous to Ndombele, Dier and Lucas. The squad really isn't in a particularly good state. Certainly not the kind of thing that will get managers excited without a serious promise of financial backing.

Proven quality
Kane
Son
Lloris

Potential quality
Romero
Reguilon
Royal
Ndombele

Good squad/starting players
Hojbjerg
Lucas

Likely youngsters
Gil
Skipp
Tanganga

Running out of chances
Bergwijn
Lo Celso
Sessegnon
Dele
Rodon
Dier

Not good enough
Davies
Sanchez
Winks
Clarke
Doherty

For those believing the bullshit about conte being an option for us ask yourself how he would cope with Levy's long & well established history of not buying players that the manager wants. How many windows might we get through before Conte is publicly calling him out for it and then just walks away.
If he was appointed he wouldn't still be here in Feb '23 as Levy would have done the stuff he always does.
And for those thinking it might be different this time look at what happened with Traore, Daniel overruled our manager and Paratici so he will do the same again.
