Ah the old cant differentiate a poster commenting on relative playstyles instead of comparing players abilities
Even their respective playing styles are vastly different.

Sure, when there’s a basis for comparison. Carrick is one of the best players to ever grace the field in the modern era, winks has had a handful of good games.
Wrd was right, you can compare styles.
For instance Winks is a very good recycler of the ball, finding the right man to pass to.Similar to Carrick.
Seb Stafford-Bloor wrote a nice piece and compared them.
It's difficult to compare Winks to too many players
Him not being a classical DM or CM (we havent seen him really in the CM role)
YEs - because Poch with an unlimited budget will undoubtedly win things, right?Personally I really do not want to see Poch at Utd, I think he would do very well there.
But their styles aren’t overly similar other than being deep lying centre midfielders who pass the ball. It’s like comparing ndombele with Dembele, I.e not relevant.
if anything carrick is more comparable to ndombele

Poch going for that 11-man squad. Keep it tight.Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is planning to sell English midfielder Eric Dier, 25, 27-year-old Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, Ivorian defender Serge Aurier, 26, Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama, 28, and 29-year-old English defender Danny Rose in January after his side's poor start to the season. That just leaves Alderweireld and Vertonghen...
Spurs wanted to sell players - Levy
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy says the club were unable to sell all the players they wanted to in the summer.www.bbc.co.uk
Well we all pretty much knew this was the case but now its confirmed and you can see why he hasnt sacked Poch and why the dressing room is a shambles at the moment. We're going to have the ride the storm whether we as fans like it or not it seems.
Pochettino ‘may need a fresh start’ away from Spurs, says Redknapp
Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp feels Mauricio Pochettino may benefit from a move elsewhere, but he expects him to stay and turn around their poor start to the season.www.standard.co.uk
Redknapp adding fuel to the not changing up the squad fire.

But he also spouts some shite aswellDC has extremely solid relationships within the sporting industry. He is not one clubs, players, managers, agents love to use to manipulate their agenda. Not confirming what he is saying about Poch.

Footy insider probably BS but anyway:

Cant see Poch going to United. It would be going against his character....there is the issue of respect for Sir Alex (I'm pretty sure) but think he would go to Madrid.
He hasn't totally proved himself.
So far his system, sort of Bielsas system has worked only to an extent but he hasn't gone further in development
I think he will want to prove himself as winner and it would be courageous if he stayed to do that. It’s a sideways, possibly downwards, step for him to go to Man U. He might have had enough of it here but I don’t think so. I think he will have to be pushed rather than jump and I do t think levy has the stomach to sack him else it would of either happened in the summer of before now this season.
Rightly or wrongly I think he will be given the chance to rebuild this team. I have my doubts he can but there’s only one way to find out. Results and performances need to improve immediately. Anything but a good win on Saturday and I think thenext couple of months might not be very nice.
