I suspect he has too much of a focus on stats, numbers, tests, fat percentages, amount of veggies in the diet etc. etc. etc. t's disappointing to me because when Pochettino was hired, one thing I thought was that he would yes heed those numbers, but at the end of the day look first to the individual player and communicate about how the player was feeling and seeing each individual holistically. This is what I thought. Each individual has a different physical sweet spot. But I almost get the impression now that if you've got a fat percentage of 10.8 rather than 10.0 and had 6 rather than 5 fries for dinner last night, you won't play for the subsequent three months.Yep. Totally agree.
When you consider that, because of his methods, we will always have a 5 year cycle with the squad, we are already losing a year of having these new signings cause eases them in.
I do think you need to ease some players in, but Poch seems to take it as a rule of thumb and the first season is almost a write off. We nearly lost Sonny cause of it!
