Bit of a random one, but this got recommended on YouTube to me and it just shows that managers and fans have been moaning about the same things for 45 years.

Summary of what Clough complains about:

- They’re playing too much football with not enough of an off season
- There’s too many games on telly
- Pundits only focus on the negatives of the game and always pick out the mistakes and refereeing decisions.
- Pundits spend too much time talking and lecturing the viewers rather than showing the games.

Honestly this could have been a manager yesterday and every single bullet point would have probably still been correct.

Cloughie was bloody brilliant too wasn‘t he.

I can't find it offhand, but when they introduced 'assists' as a statistic (roughly 30 years ago), many fans thought it was complete nonsense and only goals should be counted.

I'm not interested in debating the actual point here, but it was exactly the same stuff you get today. :)
