We’ll probably lose next week anyway but i feel better about our chances facing the chiefs than the ravens so the pats losing was even better. Ravens probably will make the super bowl. Vs who? I’ve got no clue. NFC is wide open, IMO. Any of the top 4 seeds could make it and it wouldnt be an upset. Think all 4 have a really good claim. I’d reckon seahawks or saints make it but niners or packers wouldnt surprise me

I like the NFL and if people think the football referees are bad, just watch NFL ones.

However my main gripe is the Overtime rules... whats with the first touchdown wins... i would agree if each team has had a go at offense but surely to have the toss winner potentially win the game by their first possession is a bit ridiculous.

I was thinking about this last night (although it gets discussed every other year). What came to my mind was those games last season involving the Chiefs (vs Rams and Patriots) where throughout the game it was all offence. Neither defence made a stop really all game. If you changed the OT rules to means that both teams have to have a possession, even if the first team scores a TD, then I can foresee that escalating pretty quickly to change again to accommodate the scenario where the first 3 possessions of OT all result in a score (TD-TD-TD/FG). But the game is about both offence and defence, and so its not unreasonable to have rules which put the onus on both sides of the football. I think the current rules do that.

Of course being a Vikings fan I'm biased after last night's outcome. Get in!

Who says Kirk Cousins cant play a "big" game!:)
Go you Vikes.

Had a big season, fair play to him, last season he was awful.

49ers, Ravens, Chiefs and Seahawks I am going for. Ravens 49ers final with Ravens taking it. Anyone but Packers....please.

Cannot see anyone beating Baltimore. Love to make the Championship game though

Let’s all laugh at the Dallas Cowboys :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

At least they have a coach that they know has a history of winning in Dallas....

Seriously though, a piece of wood is an upgrade on Garrett and despite all the shit he gets McCarthy's career line is on par with some pretty decent coaches. Provided that they actually manage to sign Dak he may be ok in Dallas.

I see your point. - the game is about offense and defense and if you are unable to stop the offense then basically youre outta luck... but i dont really agree with the rule. If I was on the losing end of it i would be devastated.

My preference would be to have another 'quarter' i.e. 15 mins and battle it out till the en dof the 15 and whoever has more points wins... like football where they get half an hour and none of this golden goal bull shit.

McCarthy had 2 HOF QB’s and only won 1 SB. Hes a good head coach but not great. And in GB, he had enough autonomy. He decidedly will not in Dallas. As for Garrett, i know everyone made fun but i actually think he’s a decent enough HC. You dont go 85-67 in 10 years by accident in Dallas. Jerry Jones is the issue there. He’s a control freak.

As for Dak, hes a good QB but not a great one. Certainly isnt close to being worth the rumored $40m per.

He isn't a great head coach but he is a good coach and probably among the best available.

He had Favre for what....1 year? and the team lost to the Giants that ended up winning the Super Bowl. He then had 12 years of Rodgers and won a Super Bowl.

Considering Sean Payton has 1 Super Bowl with Brees in 13 years together, Tomlin has 1 Super Bowl with Rothlisberger in 12 years, Carroll has 1 Super Bowl through 9 years with Wilson and Dungy got 1 Super Bowl with Peyton Manning in 9 years i would say getting 1 Super Bowl with Rodgers isn't too bad.

Calling Garrett a good head coach i would disagree with....he had 4 winning seasons in 10 years, he had as many seasons at .500 as he did winning seasons and guided a team with arguably the best OL in the league, one of the best RBs in the league, dangerous WRs, a young QB having his career breakout year under a young OC and a very talented defense to an 8-8 season this year.

I would agree that Dak isn't worth $40m, but Dallas are stuck now...if you are Dallas you almost have to re-sign him since the clock is very loudly ticking on that group of players before their contracts force them to break up. They won't have a ton of options (if any) aside from Dak who could come in and improve the QB play so they can actually have a chance at winning NOW. Which is where they are as a team.

On top of it....Matt Rhule to Carolina may be happening.

So the Giants may get stuck with Garrett.....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Stubbornness is the only reason they haven't changed the overtime rules. Sooner the NFL adopts the OT rules from college football the better.

Is there anyone the Browns aren't interviewing. I think I'm booked in next week for an interview to be HC.
