I think the absolute saddest thing for me to realise is that the thing which is probably hurting Levy the most and making him lose sleep is the impact that this will have to the value of the club and not about the impact to the football team and the fans.

This club is such a huge, huge part of my life and it’s really sad to see it in this sorry state

For someone that doesn't like angry you certainly come across as an angry little man...

You say you like sensible arguments yet you start out with frothers, now it's not 'take their shit'. You really like to open up the debate to some sensible discussion. And calling out John for being the vocal minority, that's a 1st, he's often called out here but for anything but being vocal. You carry on with your bile...

I'm not angry at all. I am disappointed in a lot of the bile and vitriol that's out there in socials at the moment. And all I've asked for is serious arguments about how the ousting of Levy can be achieved and what new ownership may look like. I don't think that's a controversial position to hold.

Who do you want as Chairman? What DOF do yo want them to hire? What manager? Do you even want a DOF? Who are our new owners? What does you vision of Spurs entail beyond "I want to win stuff and I'm gonna be really mad if I don't get it"?

Sorry but unless you can answer these questions persuasively I'm not sure I want to join your cause wholeheartedly. I don't want to become Everton.

Like I said there's a lot of heat in this thread but not much substance. You can dislike that as much as you like, doesn't make it any less true.

We can't all be Oil slavers who, admittedly, came to City with a plan by brining Txixi and Guadiola (and unlimited and cheating money)

I think the biggest problem is Levy’s mind, he likes power, he can’t let go. He is the type of person who in the end will take and destroy the very thing he created. The love he has for this club is a love of power not a love of wanting to genuinely do what is best for the club. If he did he would resign and accept fresh thinking was needed.
Do you know him or ever met him ? Any particular skills in making such assessments ?

The club statement tonight only solidifies the need to get DL as far from the football side of matters at the club asap. This farce of a season has highlighted his extensive flaws and he is now actively hurting the club. The number of members in the BSODL must be really dwindling at this stage.

How ironic that the statement was about the actual member of staff employed to facilitate this.

We might have great facilities and pay well, but its become more and more evident that every manager eventually encounters real problems working under Levy.

And it risks their reputation.
Does it really? Because there's really not much evidence for it - Poch wants to return, I don't remember Mourinho saying any bad words(but a lot of positive about Levy even after he was sacked, the same about Nuno, the same about Conte until last week. "Real problems working under Levy" is more of an excuse for manager underperforming at his job.

How are they risking their reputation lol. Mourinho and Conte showed tactical/personal flaws and yet most of people aren't really blaming them but the whole club/board/players :ROFLMAO: Poch got job at one of the biggest club in the world, Mourinho found job at his level, Nuno got a job with I guess a big salary, Conte will still be very highly rated at Italy.

I am not making a signed off physiological diagnosis just saying what I think he is like based upon his continued actions and behaviours which have been with us for many years that we have read about from media and ITK. For the record I did do a number of phycology modules at university but that was quite a while ago and I am not claiming a formal diagnosis, just what I think he is like based on his historical behaviour. Maybe I am will be proven wrong and he will resign, let’s see.

I'm definitely ENIC out, but I can't see Levy leaving in the next two years at least.
So all I can hope is we appoint a manager who will give all the competitions a fair go.

To be totally honest on this one apart from Poch who I think has an affinity with the club - you would imagine that the others would contractually not be allowed to say to much as part of their pay off

If I add enough respect for you after your intro and subsequent posts on the matter I’d put in the effort to answer your points individually. But as I feel it would just be another roundabout situation I can’t be arsed, really in short you jumping on board with your attitude matters little to me, sorry mate.

My position is clear though, enic get us up fighting for euro spots after 1st decade well done (although imo we’re a big enough club to expect this) you then miss multiple opportunities to go for titles let face because you’re prioritizing the stadium, that’s fine but if after waiting through all that you then have the same objective whilst talking about this great game changer then that tells me you were taking us for a ride (not a kart one) and just in to build your asset.

I was a fan through the 90s so I know how crap we were, I used to be part of a supporters club where of us 30 mad idiots paid for flight, hotel and tickets, hundreds if not thousands just so I could see us lose. I think it was about the 5th match I went to when we finally won, albeit iirc we were 2-0 down with 10 mins to go…

I’ve went from that mad fan in my youth to someone who just cancelled their TV subscription (again) as I can’t even be arsed to watch us on tv anymore. The difference between the 90s and today you always had the hope next year could be your year no matter how shit you were. Nowadays we’re the most boring predictable shit to watch, it’s all about using the money to make more money, enic want us in europe for the money, nothing more nothing less, esl was perfect for them, there to make up the numbers and collect the cash…

In short I don’t care if we lose but I at least want owners that want it and will go for it anytime the opportunity arises, 23 years has shown Enic have no interest in this, I’ve been saying for over 10 years we’re winning nothing with this lot, I was right, we need them gone as nothing is going to change with invisible joe and control freak levy.

I thought this was a very good point.

Id also add that football modernises and changes rapidly too.

So you need progressive thinking people in so they can anticipate and have big visions.

A lot of what Levy does (haggling for last minute transfers) no longer has the same results.

The great custodian with great responsibility.

He's like a mother that smothers their child and prevents them from growing because she doesnt trust them.

In this case, he doesn't trust anyone else to run us because they would financially ruin us.

yet the last day of the transfer window remains the busiest by far - so its much the way most clubs work apart from the super rich - if your argument is that Spurs are one of the super rich then that's different but even for that last summer Spurs had tied up most of their business early and were widely including on here being heralded for that

Interesting.
My perspective having moved to the Uk in 1999 is that Spurs we're a complete mid table lightweight pushover club light years behind the dominant north london club Arsenal of 2004.

12 years later Enic had taken Spurs above Arsenal not only off the field but on it. That was a pretty amazing achievement given where both clubs were in 2004.

Im sorry none of that means anything to you but I hope you understand it does mean something to me and many other Spurs fans.

So again I'm just going to have to respectfully ask you for your vision of the future rather than the bitterness of your past.

I'm all for moving on past Levy and Enic - how can you show me you won't make us Everton?
