Its becoming alarmingly clear that in Levy's mind hes not going to spend any more money and his priority will be to cut the wage bill to make us more profitable.
I think Levy will spend what he can if it's the difference between CL and no CL. It's the pushing on from there to actually win stuff that's the issue.

For all the the posts on here about the owners etc, I support Spurs, no one else,
I've given Levy more leeway than many but for me, Conte was his last chance and he fucked it.
The trouble is, I'm pretty much powerless to do anything but moan on here.
I find that frustrating but I was a Spurs fan before Levy came along and I'll be one long after he's finally gone.
He's not turning me away from the team I love.
Spot on, Spurs till we die< not levy.

If Poch goes on to win everything with the cheatskijs, I’m done with Levy. He can just •••• off and leave the Club to someone that has a clue & gives a ••••.

The days of us becoming champions league regulars are probably going to be far behind us.
The M.O and outdated methods won't work any more.

expecting top 4 and European ball while paying sub standard wages and transfer fees is a joke.

With more and more up and coming teams with deep pockets, there are ( city, pool, yanited , Chelsea, Newcastle, arsenal, us and villa),it's going to be so tough moving forward.

This is about that time where I’d love to hear some ITK that the board is as frustrated as we are. Regardless of the outcome (that I’ll likely rally around regardless of the signing unless it’s Rodgers), I feel this has been the final straw for everyone with Levy. You know your situation is bad if you have a golden platter of solid managers who want to come to the club yet screw the pooch with both the darling and the fan favorite. Inexplicable? No. This seemingly comes down to financial ambition that just does not match the footballing ambition.

I’m afraid the sun has set and we are going to likely be puttering top half/mid table for a while with this ownership. I don’t see how we are going to compete when Newcash is about to have runway to buy whatever they need, Chelsea with Poch, Man U moving into a better direction, Arsenal looking like we did in peak Poch years, City being City, and Liverpool likely going to refresh, I don’t see how Europe is going to be plausible.

I just wish Levy was honest with himself and committed to the Dortmund model so that we could atleast have honest expectations of building and selling youth rather than doing the bare minimum to make the top tier money without having to risk any financial loss. He forces signings onto his managers that they don’t want because they are youthful and he thinks they’ll have sell on value. Joe Rodon worked out well in that category. The irony is Levy’s decision making and inability to go fully all in on Conte and Mourinho leaves us with a fractured and burnt out club. I don’t see any path forward other than ripping this club down to the studs.

You can’t rid this mentality without fully cleaning house in all areas.

I think if(when) Kane leaves, if(when) Levy gets the next DofF and Manager combination wrong and keeps meddling with our transfers, we could be heading towards Everton levels of disaster just with a more built new stadium.

Im usually positive but I feel like we could spiral 🌀 out of control downwards if Levy gets these next appointments wrong.

Some of the DofF and Managers names now linked are not a good fit for us and will only further exacerbate our misalignment and mess.
Been thinking the same

Our form since the world cup (20 games) is 11th

We've been dire and the squad disharmony and quality requires a radical change in approach, and investment

Perhaps we need to hit rock bottom before we that happens

But the manager choice is a sticking plaster to a deeper malaise

Many times the decisions Levy made were not all bad, it's the way he did it. I'm not even bothered to list them down because there were too many especially during these 3-4 years, together with numerous PR disasters.

It is almost to a point I'm truly wondering is he actually doing these on purpose and troll us to show his supremacy. He has such unrivalled narcissism and insistence to control it's scary.

One could have justified he's a tough guy to be able to withstand all pressure and being successful leader of a corporation, but it's totally head-scratching that he doesn't seem to feel troubled, knowing he's owning a football club and yet the results of its primary existence fared so badly.

Dear leader needs to pay himself a basic salary of £100,000 per annum

Then have big fat bonuses for silverware

And a top 4 finish doesn't count as silverware, unless of course it's finishing 1st

I think at this point whoever Levy appoints there has been a definitive breakdown in any faith or trust that a) he knows what he is doing b) Has the clubs vs his own pockets best interests at heart c) Has any ambition on the football side

I’ve been Levy out for years. Probably since the Saha / Nelson transfer window but the thing that’s really changed over the years is the list of clubs with deeper pockets and better running of the football side has grown to the point where we have in my view our rightful place with this ownership feels 8th-12th when Kane leaves.

Nothing like the game changer the new stadium was ever promised as and his general ineptness has now properly caught up with him / the club

This feels like the lowest point in a long time. Every team loses games or has spells where they don’t play well but the complete lack of direction or any kind of plan on any front is so depressing.

Even contemplating spending £1000 on renewing the season ticket is sickening at the moment. They do not deserve any of our money while they neglect our football club like this.

All the positives that people can point to about this ownership will become less relevant over time. Other clubs are building equally impressive infrastructure to rival ours and even the worst run club in the league is building a similar new stadium.

Arsenal were headed in the wrong direction and made sweeping changes, we've done nothing of the sort. We rely on opportunism every summer - we'll see it again this time. We will target players in their last year of the contract, players who have fallen out with the club or players who are at clubs who are in a financial perilous situation. All these tactics that worked ten years ago dont apply anymore. He's been overtaken by other executives who are quite simply better than him.

Shame. I think a mass walk out or something in the ground could be impactful.
There is always the next match against Brentford, which will be the last home game of the season. I wonder if there is a fan group that can mobilise some kind of meaningful action here.
