Why? We’re clearly in need of new players.

If we manage to sell numerous players and not reinvest, Levy hate will go through the roof.
I'm not convinced we are. I'm not saying we don't need ANY new additions, but i don't think the squad is as dire as some make it out to be.

With Bentacur injured we have Bissouma, Hojbjberg and 2 young players in midfield. 1 injury and we’re severely short there.

We need at least 2 high quality defenders and a goalkeeper. We likely need a playmaker too.

If we don’t invest this summer, we’re making the new managers job much bigger than it needs to be.

Atleast we have got to the point and he has realised it. I thought we would never get here.
This is where the reason I say Levy doesn't truly understand football and is not a football person comes in.

He's felt that our players and squad are good enough and that by hiring Jose and Conte 'Amazing CV Managers' that they'd get us to be successful.

Sport doesn't work like that, there has to be an aligned plan and vision.

Some of our players aren't good enough and that is clear as day now but at the same time some of them are not being utilised properly and under Big Ange who will play a possession based attacking high energy style the likes of Bissouma, Richarlsion and others will look at lot better.

There was a statement a while back also saying that our player recruitment set-up has been reviewed and revamped (basically after spunking £60mil on N'Dombele and £50mil on Lo Celso etc both to then be loaned out forevermore).

This is also why I'm more excited because Ange has signed a 4 year deal and he will be ok with a realistic budget and targets so Levy will be much more ok with a big re-build whereas Jose and Conte will have been demanding players with huge transfer fees and wages which really would only paper over cracks in the fact that we had no football plan or vision as a club.

I can't help but feel whenever I see these links that its ether journo's just trying to get clicks from desperate Spurs fans or the Qataris just leaking fake rumours to put pressure on the Glazers. Maybe even a bit of both but I don't think there is any chance this happens, they might prefer the idea or Ratcliffe but I'm sure the Qataris offer will be too good to turn down.

It's an article about something that bellend Mark Ogden said a couple of weeks ago. There's no real substance to it.

What is with this fucking generation having to film people in public.

I've got a huge gripe with Levy but if I saw him out in public I wouldn't say anything to him. He still has a right to live his life.

Leave people in peace

I'd want to say hello, if i plucked up the courage. Whilst I would love to unload on him, there's no way I wouldn't be anything more than polite to him. What's the point being a bellend to people unless you are one yourself?

Really? Wow, what a surprise, Daniel COYS... 4 years... and now our competitors have become stronger.

I think you could have argued that after Mourinho's sacking for sure, but I don't believe we have a shit squad anymore. We've added with Bentancur, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Romero, Porro, Spence, Udogie since. Although Royal and Gil have been a mixed bag, I could see the logic in those two as well. They are all players a shrewd manager can get something out of. It's not an amazing bunch of players but it's not awful.

Agree. But easier for people just to moan and point a finger rather than engaging their brain.

Our squad isn't that bad, although there's a lot that need to be moved on now. Certainly enough quality for a club with no European distractions next season.

Even if levy keeps out of things this summer and everyone thinks it’s a new dawn I’ve no doubt further down the line he’ll star sticking his nose in
Guaranteed as day turns to night and back again.
Excepting North and South poles.

The question is how many of them are CL-level. I think Bentancur, Bissouma, Romero and Porro are good enough, but I have question marks over the rest.
They are definitely good enough for mid-table, and possibly top 7 given no European football.

There are alot of things to do and it's hard to do them all at once. We need to prioritize.
Absolutely top of the list is resolving the Kane situation in whatever form deem ok by all parties involved.
Second would be new CBs/GK.
Doing the above (and hoping that Son gets back on form) would mean we would likely be 8th again or thereabouts. Failing the above and if Kane goes, I think we would be at the other end of the table.
Next would be to resolve Ndom/GLC contracts and shifting deadwood.
Meanwhile hope that Ange works his magic so we can get a clean slate by the season after.

The famous clock is going back on the high road, all is forgiven :ROFLMAO:
A special piece of the Club’s history is returning to N17. Our historic Tottenham Hotspur Clock, which sat outside White Hart Lane between 1934-2007, will be reinstated on the High Road. Work started today with the installation of a new lamp post to which the Clock will be attached - symbolising the gas lantern that, legend has it, the Club was formed underneath by Bobby Buckle and members of the Hotspur Cricket Club in 1882. Works are due for completion next week…

Also we've won naff all since a few years after the clock was removed, maybe this will bring our luck back.

I agree, we don't. BUT, we are still missing a quality GK, CB and an AM. This is glaringly obvious.

No painful re-build, except for wee Dan- he needs to pay up and keep Kane. No sell to buy, no no Europe bollox, just get them in and let Ange and his coaches work on the chemistry for a month.

I genuinely dislike what this PoK writes and by write I mean just generally- 90% really? did Levy give him this figure? Or did O'Keefe just conjure it up out of thin air? 90% would mean only three are fit for purpose and as we all know - that is complete fucking bollocks. Lets just hyperbole how shit the squad is right.

Idiot

Why are we only finding out now about this top secret meeting?

the Trust are in the mud.

Why are the trust in the mud? And I would assume it was held this week as he talks about hiring Ange. Which would mean it was WITHIN THE PAST FEW DAYS AT THE MOST.

The Trust were in the meeting, fans have called for Levy to communicate more. What's the issue here?
