Create an Innovation/R&D unit whose sole focus would be to continuously find ways in which anything related to on-field performance could be done 1% better.

What can be changed to improve player nutrition by 1%? How can injuries be reduced by 1%? How can scouting processes be adjusted to identify youth talent 1% more accurately? What could be done to reduce goals conceded at home by 1%?

I would give this department an annual budget equal to the mean transfer value of an average premier league player.

The frustrating thing on playing side is over last couple of seasons we have actually made some good progress - Kulusevski, Richarlison (yes he is), Maddison, Bentancur, Bissouma, Romero, emerson, udogwie (potentially), Solomon to name a few have all been good quality purchases.

Our team now actually now finally looks decent again, but we had that period under Poch in last couple of seasons and during Mourinho period our recruitment was terrible, which really put us back.

We have done some good recruitment under Levy, especially since January before last transfer window, however he fails in not shifting the deadwood and the period stated above really set us back.

It‘s tricky as reports were under Poch perhaps he was getting stubborn and hindering recruitment, but that summer we signed Lo a Celso and Ndombele, we left ourselves massively open with no decent defensive midfielders plus our defence was ageing and kegs gone and then made the mistake firstly of bringing in Mourinho and then the debacle of the summer we bought Nuno in - should have bought in Ten Haag for example.

Then we bought Conte in, who really wasn’t suited to us as a club - understand why we did that but if we hadn’t messed up so badly with Mourinho and Nuno perhaps we wouldn't have had to.

Any levy out chants at the game yesterday

away fans normally the most vocal

personally think we need to support Ange and the team whilst making the anger towards Levy clear

Completely agree re supporting team but levy / Enic chants can still be done before game, at HT and also probably most importantly because it will get on TV do it at breaks in play like injuries etc

Yep, that's probably the way to do it and almost certainly how it'll happen I think.

Didn’t hear any during the game. There were chants on the concourse underneath the stand

The managerial appointments from Jose onwards really showed up how Levy is a poor judge of what it takes to make a winning club. I know many people will disagree, but I actually think hiring Jose/Conte is showing ambition to win stuff, but I don't think Levy got close to recognising how much of a culture change those managers required, and he certainly didn't deliver on that front.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing obviously, and had either of those managers won something with us then perhaps people would be more forgiving of the crap on the pitch. I'm personally guilty of thinking those "pragmatic" managers were a good route to follow in the search for silverware. But the lack of identity after Poch has put the club in a tailspin, and that responsibility can only fall at Levy's door.

If Levy can get our identity/philosophy/DNA or whatever you want to call it back on track, and then keep it there whilst other people make the playing squad decisions, that would at least be a start. But I have very little faith in him being able to manage it. I don't agree with the elaborate theories about no ambition myself, but I just don't think Levy is suited to the modern game.

Yeah I was definitely stoked by Conte, not by Mourinho so much as felt he was a spent force in English league at least.

As ITX has informed, Levy seems to be a tad scatter gun with his managerial appoints and was trying to get van gaal summer he fell in lucky we got Poch lol.

So not really following a pattern of similar-minded managers, although Ange gives me that Poch optimism now, we shall see if he continues to be backed as well as he was this summer.

You are part of the problem if this is how you think

too many passive beta fans happy to accept things as they are
This is such a silly post and the sort of comment that ensures the purple and yellow folks on twitter failed to gain any traction.

Throughout this whole thread I've been as anti ENIC as anyone and tried to debate in a reasonable and sensible way but you say this to me because I didn't want people to not get behind our new manager in his first game?

I'll remind both sides as sometimes it gets lost. I'm/were Tottenham Hotspur fans. Nobody here should put their fandom for any player or manager above that and certainly not of a bloody chairman.on the flip side nobody here should put their hatred for anyone above what's best for the team.

Yesterday was Ange's moment. Against United I'm sure you will be leading the protests before the game and I'll fully support them but I would hope you will also be signing for Ange and the team who all seem like they're in a really good space right now.

There absolutely should be protests and feelings made clear, but not at the detriment of the team or the match.

Do it before / after but make sure you show your full support the team on the pitch. Not rocket science is it.

This is why Levy/ENIC out isn't taken seriously enough. You respond to people like a child. Supporting Ange and the players isn't accepting things as they are. It is simply getting behind the manager and players we currently have. As was suggested above your post, Levy out chants during stoppages in play would be the best route to take.

People can do what they like. They've paid their money and should be able to voice their opinion as they see fit.
