"It's more the threat of players leaving and a worse manager arriving that worries me about Pochettino going, rather than losing him specifically. I think he's a bit overrated, the amount of times we threw away games in the second half that we were dominating was alarming.

Anyway, maybe he will be replaced by someone better? Man-for-man our first XI might be better than Tottenham's so maybe we were under performing under him?"

Just thinking about it. If Poch does come, then I think I'm getting to know how Levy has thought through this process. Poch will be the first manager since Harry in 10 years that he has given the job to that is managing in the league already. Harry did a great job in our football and league positions. Maybe that was Levy is hoping for by employing someone who he thinks already knows the league ?
AVB?...

I think Lamela may be a big reason why we are going for Poch. We can't afford for Lamela to tank and Poch may be the arm around the shoulder he needs

I hope to Jebus that if Poch is the man then the fans support him...and that includes anyone who thinks he wasn't the right choice.

Everyone can have their opinion on who the best option is but whatever the decision we ALL need to get behind the man who gets the gig.

I am picturing Pochettino at the Lane next year in full gladiator garb:

Maybe it's been sullied by the Poch vs FDB wars but I don't like it.

Perhaps, Tino, in time. But I prefer Pochettino for now, admittedly not a nickname but I prefer it.

Mauricio Pochettino's blue and white army.... rolls off the tongue.

I think it's a huge risk but at least I can see the logic in it. When Levy appointed AVB his rationale was to get a young, tactically aware manager who played at a high tempo, could get the team to be more than the sum of its parts and would promote youth. At least he is being consistent in what he is looking for in a head coach if he appoints Poch. Whether it will work out is an entirely different matter.

Still worried that the specific appointment might be influenced by not taking a bath on Lamela/Soldado than what is genuinely the best coaching appointment.
