Brighton's games still include: City, Arsenal, Newcastle and Villa.

They'll be dropping points, it's just whether we can pick up enough our end.
I think realistically to stand an outside chance we will need to get at least 7 points from our last 3. We've shown some signs of Improvement under Mason. Does that translate to going unbeaten for the rest of the season ? I'm not sure we've improved to that level yet, I still see a level of fragility there that doesn't extend to being able to put together a run of four games without defeat on the trot, if you count the Palave game as one we've bagged already because we won it 1-0.

I'm certainly not saying we'd win the league or anything if we did focus purely on the league, but when your squad is really weak it's not the worst thing to do.

But I maintain we can only really do that if we could sell numerous fringe/unwanted players which I think we'll fail to do.
As I said I see your perspective, just don't agree!
As highlighted by Conte we have a mentality issue, surely we should start the season with the aim of winning every fucking competition we are in.
Even if we only have a decent 11 next season, then send the others to play.
I just find it bizarre that we have a void in the trophy cabinet and yet we are happy to avoid entering a competition.
These flights to destinations will not be like the players getting easy jet with cramped knees!
I just think having success is a must moving forward and even if its a shitty European cup we still done the graft and won something

I didn't say we should do it, just that it's not the worst idea.

I honestly think we forget the impact that the world cup had on us this season
Especially given Contes inflexible rigid approach
We had the second highest amount of players (to city). at the WC
I feel sure that a lot of form and injury woes were in part down to it, and Contes management style
We did not have city squad depth.
When i think back to the amount of stupid errors and injuries I wonder how many were caused by fatigue and Conte throttling the joy out of our football.....
That the Stellini appointment and some really shitty refereeing decisions have absolutely mullered our season

Brighton and Newcastle have had success due to the players and manager all being aligned. We had a shitshow of a season due to the upheaval. Fuck all to do with European competition

Well of course that’s the over riding issue, it goes without saying.

Don't forget we have been absolutely crucified by injuries too. Not to mention Son's form completely falling off a cliff, which no-one could have predicted. The gamble to keep Moura for 1 more season completely backfired too, left us ridiculously short

I think after seeing how Son was initially being used (or underused) by Conte, with his back always to goal, not getting passed to sitting off the shoulder, and Peresic more utilised on the left wing - I think everyone could predict it - or foresee it.

I don't think that adequately explains his form at all. He has had a huge number of fluffed chances this season, for several months he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo.....

Agree in part mate, some of that is form, some of that is confidence, some of it is 'match practice' and if he's not doing it every game, then the muscle memory or sharpness isn't going to be as good. Son probably missed just as many chances last season, but also won the golden boot so it wasn't picked up on as much.

When most of the rare chances he's had this season - he 'fluffed' - we become much more aware of it.

It was a gradual loss of confidence. Caused by the way he was used.

You can already see him coming back into form.

If Everton win this 6th will be very possible but must win our games
They still have Arsenal, Newcastle and City to play. Villa away like us too wont be easy.

Europa league anyone?
Really is too tight to call. They have 2 games in hand, but still have the top 3 to play and, like us, Villa away.

I'd like to think if we get something against Villa we've got a real chance.
