blimey, going to need to throw the last game to avoid the Euro Vanarama. Pick Doherty, Dier, Winks, Dele and some kids....might help Leicester get the cricket score they need to overtake Liverpool

Perfect opportunity to cleanse this squad with no European football. No need for the squad this big and perfect opportunity to utilise youth Scarlett,Devine etc

things always happen for a reason
Devine Skipp Hojberg midfield. Scarlett Son Bergwijn front line. Scary to look at that.

That was an unbelievable season, wasn't it? I honestly felt at that point that it was just a matter of time - how wrong I was :(
No matter how well a club, any club, is doing it can unravel spectacularly quickly if poor decisions are made at the top.
This shit show began with those 2 transferless windows and that shit ball has been gathering speed ever since with poor decision after poor decision.
Comically shit scouting of players with no idea of what style or direction we're looking for or whether those players are suitable.
Poor managerial decisions.
Even the fkin members pack disappeared and instead we got a fkin £10 voucher for a shop I dont want buy anything from.

Things will go wrong when as a club you make shit decision after shit decision after yet another shit decision.

The hiring of Mourinho was one of the dumbest things I've seen. The guy was finished, 99% of football fans could see it.

Then the decision to "see if he can turn it around" when it was clear it wasnt going to work.

You then give the impossible task of salvaging anything to a 29 year old with 2 years experience coaching youth teams.
I disagree that Mourinho was finished, this idea that a manager who always got success is finished is laughable. People point to that united team but its not the same united team, they have 2 years more experience and development and had a lot of investment since

Whilst I disagree on Mourinho, keeping him when Tuchel was free, was a mistake, Sacking him when there was no replacement available was a mistake

Im pretty sure we would be in a better position if we hadn't sacked or sacked him earlier

Mason will pick Ndombele, GLC, Bale, Lucas etc. Thinking he's throwing the game and we'll end up winning.

I like how this thread title only goes down to 6th.

Right now I'd bite the proverbial hand off to finish 6th and just squeeze past West Ham and Arsenal. The way its going I feel like West Ham and Arsenal will win their games against teams with nothing to play for. Leicester will beat us to try their best to get top 4, but inevitably Liverpool will win against Palace and somehow those fuckers who were behind us a few weeks ago will get the CL. I really don't want it to happen but I can just feel it.

Oh and the cherry on top will be Chelsea beating City for the CL. That will be when the football loving part of my heart will die.

Now that we have the farmers league to play for can see us winning last match, Leicester will be deflated knowing they have to win by at least 5, so we can celebrate our achievement along with our other great moments such as lifting the Audi cup.

What the fuck is up with Micah Richard’s hairline? Worst thing is I think it’s actually deliberate.

Fuck I didn’t realise Leicester were now behind Liverpool on goal difference. Fuck this season.

What has happened to us. I look back to 2017 with a heavy heart. I feel so empty now

It’s so easy to keep looking back at the poch era.

We need to move on.

The fact is we haven’t moved on for 2 years. Those same players are still with us and are stale. many need to move on for fresh challenges and for the sake of their careers. Otherwise they are only here for the money.

We, as a club need to rebuild. Not polish shit like Mourinho has tried.(and failed)

The rebuild has been delayed, hoping we could squeeze a bit more and go one further than a champions league final and try and win something. We have become so obsessed with winning something we took our eye off what’s most important. The club, our way of playing, the atmosphere around the club, the relationship with the fans and also the squad of players.

If Kane wants to leave. So be it, I’ll admit it will be heartbreaking seeing him in another teams shirt. But he will make way for our next hero, and so on. I’d give him up to see us play with passion and style again and hard to beat, selling Kane may be the start of this process, just like the sale of bale was.

You’re not proper Spurs unless you’ve given some consideration to the goal difference swing with Leeds for us to finish 10th.

I am so incredibly flat right now. Properly sad. I haven’t felt like this since... what probably 2012 and the olympics hangover where I loved that summer of cricket and breathtaking athletics and just lost my love for football. The players not coming out until after the stewards gave the go home tannoy announcement and only then because they were forced to... has just left me feeling like why should I care if they don’t?

Somebody please change the title of this thread. It's not realistic and it's depressing me.
Our club is sliding down the shitter at an impressive rate of knots. We've a chairman who's competence doesn't run beyond a fucking excel spreadsheet, a squad of footballers who's biggest talent is displaying consistent nonchalance, a manager who's so young he probably still wets the bed and is totally out of his depth, a transfer policy that makes one wonder if we aren't just signing names using a pin the tail on the donkey system and a world class striker who's probably had enough of watching it all unfold in front of him.

And this thread title depresses you.
