We can still get Europe of city win the cl , it all goes down 1 we go into conference
No we cannot, it doesn’t matter unfortunately.

City have already qualified their place doesn’t go anywhere if just improves coefficients I believe.

Good, we need to root out the deadwood once and for all. No European football forces a total reset. I’m not upset at this prospect

Whilst I understand your point of view (and agree we need a reset), the problem is that it will be harder to shift deadwood without European football. If anything, our best players will be our most attractive to sell and will possibly be the ones angling for a move, particularly if they feel like they "deserve" European football.

It ain't gonna be easy. Levy needs to get in a DoF and coach immediately.

I expected we were always going to have a job on our hands to trim the squad, made even more crucial by fewer fixtures with no european football, but could this help the club move players on?
Maybe im reaching for some much needed positives but if we have 6-15 fewer games, could players who were previously content for a handful of cup games be more accepting of a move?

Other than the problems already highlighted here, we just missed out on our best chance to win a cup next year.

It may actually stop players hanging about at the club as well as they know we may not have that many games next year

I'm beyond caring at the moment. The money in football is pretty obscene and after 39 years I'm finding myself just naturally drifting away.

These are just the simple facts mate. No spin or agenda.

I'm not trying to be negative after a good win, I'm just trying to be realistic and look forward to what we are facing.
Yeah completely understand that, it unfortunately is just a fact that it's going to be a very difficult period. Shifting our players at the best of times has been frustrating, nevermind under our new circumstances. We need to fall very lucky with our new DOF & Manager.

If we have a new manager (lol) trying to coach a different style and formation, no Europe means many more training days to drill the team and get their ideas across.

I think that could outweigh the squad size issues, if we can do even a half decent job of shifting some of our deadwood (lol)

Yep devastated, if we got in the Euro Farmers Trophy we all know Levy would have got his act together, would have cleaned out the squad, he would have brought in a top Director of Football, Nagelsman and left them to it to get us that Goalie, CB and attacking mid we’ve crying out for, there would have been nothing to worry about… 😂 we know whether euro footy or not Levy has us in such a mess matters little until he’s gone as he will continue to make a dog’s ass of things, not bothered, just his latest excuse…

I know a lot of fans didn't want the conference league but it does now throw up some new problems.

If you've been frustrated in the past with our "sell before we buy" narrative it's now just increased tenfold.

Before we even think about incomings or promoting youth we will have a first team squad of 34 players when they all return from loan.

There is so much to do and without a head coach and DOF this currently looks like an impossible task without having a fire sale.
Harsh reality. Tough times lay ahead. We are Harry Kane away from being Everton in my opinion, you simply cannot keep making terrible decisions as we have and expect not to be overtaken by other clubs.

Us not being in Europe should make zero difference in us selling players, bar as ITKS, it needs to come before buying.
I take your point the star assets suddenly become easier game for CL clubs. But we are a PL club and one of the bigger earners in Europe. Very few clubs can compete with our ‘financial clout’…you just seed to see that Bournemouth outspent Real, Barca etc the other summer to see that the PL money is what drives us.
Europa/conference league etc isn’t gonna make or break us, CL is obviously very different

Fair point. I guess I'm just finding it a bit bleak right now. Not looking forward to the potential shit show of the summer window.

You think it'll go down that way? More likely means fewer incomings and less painful rebuild imo.
Sometimes levy spends more when we finish crap to try and get back to CL, goes more complacent when we are actually in it

To be completely fair, no Europe always meant in my mind that we would pare down the squad- for the better. We need to sign 4/5 players but we need to sell 10/12 regardless.

I think if we did qualify for Europe, Levy would just assume that this year was an anomaly and that we would be fine with a few minor tweaks…

As others have noted, no Europe is largely a positive provided we take heed and learn from the lessons we learned this year…
