Hopefully someone with a bit more know can shed some light on this. But every application the club has ever put in, it’s been detailed, number of floors, length, width height etc.

landlease application, from what I can tell, doesn’t do that. It stipulates it could be this tall, it could be this many, it be that many etc

how is it possible to obtain planning permission when no one knows exactly what’s been built?

You can get what is known as "outline planning permission".

I get what you’re saying. I guess it’s because it’s a large area with staged development so for now it’s just an outline then the detail will be filled in. Meanwhile they really seem determined to make Tottenham Hale a place to be.

New application re the cultural quarter by the stadium. Just technical stuff I think but a lot of detail in there about the scheme/area.

A lot of interesting detail in this document. Club looking to get national lottery funding. Not sure how that would be viewed even though they obviously believe the project is entitled. Already have some Art and music organisations as future tenants.

Ah that makes sense. It is what Enfield Council are doing as well just up the road on the Joyce Avenue & Snell's Park estate. That development will be sure to effect the whole area as well, given it is quite a large one.

But even on the outline planning permission spurs got on the southern end of the stadium development it went into more specific detail and named the number of flats and height. For a development this size it’s no wonder the club want more specific and more than just houses. I walked through Tottenham Hale for the Brighton game and there was nothing there other than blocks of flats, was like a ghost town

Another letter from Solicitors acting for the Club objecting to the Lendlease HRW Planning Application due to be decided tomorrow.

A legal challenge is being lined up.

“For the reasons set out above THFC maintains that Council is not in a position to lawfully determine the High Road West Application and that its approach to defer consideration of matters of principle to the approval of reserved matters, conditions and planning obligations is unlawful”.

Disgraceful from the Council, after all the cash and resources the club has put into the area
I was all for us moving out of Tottenham to a place where we'd be appreciated. Well we're stuck here now, just hope one day the area gets a Council that's pro Spurs

Tbh I’m not sure it’s anything to do with an agenda Vs the club. I think it’s just sheer incompetence by lendlease and the council. I’d expect the meeting tonight to be the usual farcical experience. I’m almost tempted to go just for the crack.

There does seem some desperation in the Planning Applications being rushed through due to a risk of grant funding being potentially lost. If that is the case it's complete incompetence on both the Council & their chosen Development Partner Lendlease after taking so long to get proposals together. It's now nearly 11 years years since the area witnessed the riots from which regeneration was meant to be a catalyst for the area to improve daily lives.

The Lendlease Planning Application was Approved at tonight’s planning meeting. Still some way to go though before any shovels are in the ground.

Legal action will halt this development. It is clearly being rushed through due to fear of losing the grant funding
