I finally got to try it on today and get a feel of the material.
What a pile of crap. The material feels like tissue paper and the ironed on mansion square is crap too.
Other kit makes (nike/adidas) have a quality feel to them like they'd last for years and would mildly keep you warm. Our one isn't even worth half it's retailed price. It's a same as I was starting to like the yellow on it after seeing the boys wearing it and winning.
ANOTHER year without a home shirt ...since the adidas days. Gutted.

This year will be the first in memory that i wont be buying the home shirt, or probably any of the shirts, not because of the yellow, not because of the red but purely because of the shitty material. At first I wasnt a fan of the shirt and although im not in love with it now id still wear it but like you say, the material is simply awful. If a petition was going to be made it shouldnt be against the yellow but of the inferior product we are being sold for almost £50

I'm not surprised... When the lads come off sweaty the shirt looks pink as its that see-through. I still haven't seen anyone actually wearing the new shirt out-and-about.

I got up close to some Nike football shirts recently. They felt really nice.

I have to admit Puma is my least favourite make we've had. Some of the designs haven't been that good: the 125th shirt was alright though I would have preferred the chocolate brown as the 125th shirt and of all the successful season's we've had why did Puma chose to base the 125th home shirt on the '87 season? The most common memory of that season is losing the cup final to Coventry. But Puma has done some nice kits: the black & gold and the brown & gold were my favourites.

However, my main problem with the Puma kits have been the overrall quality. The material feels cheap, some of them felt as if they were made with tissue paper. More than once the Mansion logo has run on a low wash turning parts of my home shirts red and the Spurs badge that they printed onto the shirts has come off. I've probably had more problems with our Puma kits than I have with the Adidas, Kappa, Umbro and even Pony kits. Pretty much every season I've got a Puma kit I've had to contact the club to get it changed due to a problem.

It can't be worse than the first Puma shirt can it? The one from Berba's first season?

I liked last years shirt, both quality and design wise, but the only way I can see myself buying this years is from that knock-off website that does good quality fakes.

Not bought a shirt since the first Mansion one, which was one of the worst items of clothing I've ever purchased. It was worse than the fakes. Terrible quality.

I won't be buying another shirt until they sort it out.

Might get the away one. Need to see what the quality is like. I've seen one person wearing it the other day over here, and was up close enough to get a proper look and it looked like utter cack.

Prolly ebay but more than likely imitation crap although you can get good ones. I used to play footy alot in the military and bought alot of different shirts for the week. I got a Marseille one and I it was that good I could not beleive it. £10 too.

I hate all this "technologically innovative material that breathes" bollocks. As if the players put it on and think, "oh good, this new material will make my feet strike the ball better and make me quicker than opponents across 10 yards".

I'm sticking to my trust 'ol Spurs Away Adidas 2000-01 navy away shirt (and winner of SC Away World Cup kit!).

For home kit have last season's one, which isn't too bad over a jumper but wouldn't wear without anything underneath as too much nipeladge.

As a rule I never wash my Spurs shirts - I have so many of them they get worn now and again and dont ever degrade or get dirty, so no issues with wear and tear.

Unfortunately many of the Puma designs have been toliet. The only exceptions were the 125th home and away, last years Brown/Gold and the elusive Brown one (the latter I had to get a fake it was so rare).

I've just picked up last years pale blue long sleeve for £10 in local sports shop sale and will not be investing in anything from this term.

Maybe I'm lucky we have so many crap shirts, as my bank balance could not cope with me buying 3 excellent designs per annum.

Having said that, I think the better Puma ones mentioned above have pissed all over most of the Kappa/Pony stuff from the 90s.

Would love to see us go Nike or Adidas next year, they always seem to turn out reasonable quality material and unfussy designs.

An unfussy sponsor would also be on my wish list - the size and boldness of both the Mansion and Thomson logos have often made the shirts less attractive. Just simple writing in a colour that doesn't clash would do just as well if not better ie like the Holsten days.

Anyway all academic as Mansion & Puma get the heave ho next year (?) just enough time to save up for another shirt (if its any good!)

I was in the shop just before the season started and went for the white training top. Slightly better material, has the crest and without the red logo.

Plus wore it for the Liverpool game so its a good omen so far!
