The US just got nailed with the Australian-ripped TV show "The Slap." You guessed it: it's a huge pile of hot garbage.

Anyways, I thought "The Spat" would be a really cool (and by cool I mean absolutely terrible) spin-off-of-a-spin-off and it could star these two shitty footballers.

Also, just like the super-dumb show, we could see how these bans (7 for Cisse and 6 for Evans) take a toll on all the people involved: LVG will continue to state there are no problems until his team sinks to 7th in the table, at which point he brandishes his balls to the media and in turn gets fired. On the other hand, no one gives a shit about Cisse being banned because let's be honest: who gives a shit about Newcastle United?

They both miss the matches against us. I'm still trying to figure out if that helps or hurts our chances.

7 game ban!!

It's disgusting and vile but not on a par at all with a leg breaking tackle that could end someone's career, never seen a player being forced to retire due to a spitting injury.

But one less United defender is good news for me.

Have to agree with Totoner on this one, I'd rather be spat at that on the end of a two footer knee high tackle, all bloody day long!

Granted spitting is fucking disgusting, but it's not comparable to a leg breaker.

Should give Evans a ban twice as long as Cisse for not admitting to it when its clearly evident he spat.

It's revolting...but someone remind me ban what Terry got for being racist?
Wasn't it 3 or 4 games ?...IMO what Terry did is a hundred times worse.

How has Cisse got a stronger ban when that skag'ed Evans spat at him first???

He's already been sent off for violent conduct this season so gets an extra game added on to the standard 6, which are based on ridiculous FIFA rules. I don't think they distinguish between who started it.

Well, they should, as being spat at is one of the most vile things someone can do to you without physically touching you and one's instant inclination is to spit back, automatically.

Did Evans think there were no cameras at the game? At least Cisse admitted he spat. If he was playing for Liverpool the players would be wearing "Mr. Cisse is not a Spitter" t-shirts at their next game.

Evans has appealed and the hearing will be tonight.
Red Cafe are split, with some disgusted others can't believe one of their own could do such a thing!!

If he gets off it will be a travesty but stranger things have happened?

Jonathan Walters made me laugh on Talksport yesterday, when asked about it he said if someone done it to him they'd be eating their dinner through a straw....
So if someone spits at Walters he blends up their dinner?

Have the bans actually been confirmed yet? On the BBC it just says that they could face a seven game ban.

Cisse has admitted guilt so gets 6 games ban + 1 for 2nd offence this season.

Evans has pleaded not guilty, the hearing is tonight and the result of this is tomorrow morning.

If found guilty he gets 6 game ban but I'm not sure it can be increased for an obviously frivolous appeal!!
