Just as I was getting excited that we were getting our signings done early it sure came to a halt after the first 2 signings. It seems that we're back to normal again now and waiting for the tense negotiations to go right to the wire. I imagine it will be squeeky bum time come this time next month.

At least we're off to the States now for the US tour. It will be great to see the full team back together under the new manager.

For those not following the Twitter thread, that's a response to a possible sighting of Modric on the plane. And probably our lot for the day.

Is it right that i'm slightly worried of all this talk of the Adebayor deal stalling, all the recent ITK on the subject would seem to suggest we have the deal in the bag..the BBC even did an article claiming we had completed the deal last week. We don't desperately need him but 5 mil for a player that reached double figures in both goals and assists last season is an absolute bargain and i just hope the deal gets wrapped up soon... or he'll be off somewhere else and we'll be left with Defoe and Kane as our main strikers:eek: (just thinking of the worst case scenario here, i'm sure we'll buy remy, hulk and damiao come the last day of the transfer season ;))

Don't forget Falcao, he's basically on his way to London already ;)

The fee is not high, but the wages of £175k per week (oe £9m pa) will need to be either be paid by Spurs (probably partly as a one off payment to Adebayor plus wages of say £100k pw) or Man City, so taking the signing on fee, plus £5m to Man City plus wages, he's less of a bargain.

By comparison when Wenger signed Scumball he said something like 'it doesn't feel like a free !' due to high wages

BTW, still hope to hear Ade completed soon

yep, heard he needed more money to "fund community projects in Africa"...good lad but he isn't half full of shit. Anyway i'm sure a deal will be reached since he loves it here so much and we all love him (well i do anyway :p)..although i am struggling to see without chelski money how we are going to match his wage demands, it would completely smash our supposed 70k former wage barrier..

Update - Possible sighting of Modric on Plane

After much deliberation... it's now been confirmed by the ITK on the plane, that the possible sighting of Modric aboard the plane was not him, it was in fact a piece of shitty toilet paper left on the floor in the aircraft toilet.

Has any ITK mentioned anything about Ade being/not being on the plane?
