I'm sorry to be negative about this buts it's all just a waste of time.

All I care about is getting a new actual manager and getting this shit show sorted.

Mason needs to be gone with the rest of them. Not shoe horned into the next managers team because Levy wants it.

It was crazy away to Newcastle in our current situation... it's crazy at Anfield right now or if it was Etihad... but 4 at the back at home to Brentford, Leeds, Bournemouth etc., should be able to work, even with this squad.... be flexible until we get a new manager in place who can rebuild.

So I hope Mason uses a combination of common sense and bravery.
This is fair

Our last four managers have been dangerously inflexible. It's actually laughable how one-dimensional they all were

Levy had to do something quick, he knows he is up against it and the easiest thing for him to do was this move. I don’t want us to qualify for any of the European comps. We need the new manager announced before the season is out and then they start in the closed season. Not having to play on Thursdays will give them to chance to actually coach players the team and hopefully start showing the philosophy and identity of the style of play they want sooner than having the coaching interrupted with mid week games in Bulgaria, Malta etc. shit house Levy

Not being in Europe will also limit who we get as coach. The better ones quite enjoying shit trips to Malta and Bulgaria.

Surely this pushes Levy to go out and get the Manager sorted for the summer ASAP. The squad need stability, they need to know what's that there is something in place moving forward. Levy absolutely must act now. Go and give JN what he wants to sign the deal THIS week.

Feel sorry for Mason

His love for Spurs is clouding his judgement.

This is a poisoned chalice, it won't end well .
He's in charge for a few games at the end of a long season of underperformance and patchy results. Only a total moron would make any judgement or blame him if he doesn't do much and that continues.

He'll be fine. He comes across, and anyone who has known him confirms this, as a very impressive man and professional with an abundance of qualities - and of course the toughness to overcome whatever obstacles are placed in front of him - to have a decent future in the game.

Even if he loses the last six games it will be (and I'm sure would be the way he looks at it) further experience and an opportunity to learn - even if that's experiencing a tough situation and what does/doesn't work to get a reaction and making mistakes - that he can take forward in his coaching or management career.

Why do so many of our fans hate our own. Mason will do what he feels is best for club, he'll give everything of himself for the cause. We are lucky to have someone who loves the club and is ready to step in. Lets get get behind him!
Yep, but Levy has just appointed him, and the way things are going at the moment means is if Levy decided it, it's essentially shit by association. And before I get drowned in BSODL based negs I understand the sentiment, and most of the time share it :D. It's just not fair in this case imo. People don't want Levy to get any kind of a pass, and I guess backing for Mase feels like one.

Thing is, I genuinely thought he did an OK job last time in a really lousy situation, and if Kane hadn't decided to do one of the worst timed interviews of all time before that Villa (I think?) game, he might has pulled a very unlikely top 6 finish out of the bag too.

I thought he should have just done it again this time too when Conte went with another couple of years of experience under his belt.

He seems generally well liked and respected by high level professional footballers and managers alike, which can't be an easy rep to build, and is one of our own.

We should be able to back him and his team to do well AND consistently 'Levy out' whenever there's nothing going on to support.

I think today is up there as the very worst days. Ginola being sold. Losing to Chelsea in FA Cup semi in 2012. Everton semi in 1995. I am SICK of the club.
