What is Harry doing, I cannot fathom how he is still managing this football club. I have seen a lot of Harry out comments and I have to agree with some of these statements. This is not Tottenham Hotspur!
During the transfer window we have only signed 3 ‘first team signings’, in previous years it was not a good window unless we signed 10 players, 5 of which had to be players we had not heard of before. Some may argue that people like Emil Halfredsson is not the sort of player that we need nowadays but I have to disagree, if we do not sign random panic buys and estranged Icelandic wingers what is the point.
I mean Scott Parker, he is 30! Ok some may argue that he was player of the year last year in a relegation team and an England international and that we paid a reasonably low price for such an experienced player. However he is not a highly rated young player plying his trade outside the premiership who is excellent on football manager, so what are you doing Harry?
I find this sort of transfer business highly irregular, 3 premiership proven players who have been revelations in the premiership for years. This is not our Tottenham. Brad Friedel is older than some of our coaching staff and why do we need him? I mean we have already made our high priced (good on footy manager) signing in Gomes a couple of years ago. It is madness for Harry to think that we didn’t enjoy those blunders last season, it’s what makes the game exciting. Now with Friedel it will just be dull, a solid keeper at Spurs, it just beggars belief.
Adebayor – a world class striker at spurs that does not break our wage structure and cost us nothing, what are you thinking Harry. This is short sighted management, we should have paid 35 million on a young Newcastle forward when we had the chance. While I am on transfer business - letting Jenas go on loan, what a silly decision. I don’t think he realises how much enjoyment Spurs fans get from endless forum posts about whether you can still be a quality midfielder if you cannot pass the ball 3 yards.
Getting Champions league qualification grinds me as well, we all know that we prefer to fail in style than actually succeed. Then we have the cheek to play brilliant football the likes of which the champions league has not seen for years. Outrageous management, we suffered as well for it by finishing 5th in the League. City and Arsenal finished ahead of us at the end of the season and why? Because we did not play Niko Krankjar enough, that is why. Niko Krankjar should be played at all times, and Harry should know this. All spurs fans know how good Niko is, he does not have to play football to prove his brilliance to us.
He does not give youth a chance as well, apart from in the Uefa cup and people like Bale, Sandro, Livermore, Rose and Walker. But if we concentrate on the outfield and look at how many over 30’s spurs are playing – it is like watching pensioners with people like Gallas, Parker and Gallas.
To top it off we get beat off the two Manchester teams. I could forgive being beat by the champions at OT and I am not a fan of knee jerk reactions so I decided to give Harry one more game and he lost this as well. They may have spent 30 million for every player in their team and their third spare left back may be on more wages than our highest earner but this is no excuse, we are Spurs.
I have not even mentioned his endless press action, he dares to speak about matters Spurs when anyone asks him a question, the cheek. He says what’s on his mind no pretence, we expect cloak and daggers here at Spurs and he will do well to remember that. He recently stated that spurs “did well” in their UEFA cup tie. Some may see this as a relatively harmless comment but we at Spurs know that he was taking a swipe at the greatest player at Tottenham Hotspur ever, the hard working and on form legend (that has been good on footy manager for years) Giovanni Dos Santos, why Lennon is not shot and replaced by this midfield maestro is beyond me.
He can still redeem himself though, the resigning of Robbie Keane in January is a must otherwise Spurs will be in real trouble.
