Swansea are going to be £5m richer soon, they could do a lot worse than use a bit for Hudds loan fee. He would slot in there a treat.

I rate Hudds, good football brain, what he does lack however is concentration, the 10yrd pass to an opponent whilst looking straight at him, we have all seen that i am sure, i would loan him, some game time, injury free and i believe AVB and his team can step up and make a guy like Hudds come good on the player we thought he would be, still has promise...

at least the rumors are only for loan,... but it does seem weird to think JJ is in the squad and THudd is on his way out o_O

You can pretty much write him off now. Can't see us wanting him back after all his potential has been drained by that hovel.... shame

Greg Stobart@gstobart
Jermaine Pennant has confirmed on Twitter that Tom Huddlestone has joined Stoke on a season-long loan. January recall clause, I believe

Really can't understand this one, i mean is there not a better team out there, playing wise, that Stoke? Like Swansea or someone?

Stoke are anti-football, they are the exact opposite of what our team is trying to do on the pitch IMO - can't be that good for his development as a player?

I'm all for Hudd going out, but just to the right team which i don't think Stoke are.

I would think that its because no other team in the Prem wants him on loan.

I doubt we'll see him back and in AVB's plans. A player at his age isn't going to develop as a player. It's most likely come down to who'll pay the biggest loan fee and cover his wages. If he proves his fitness we'll take the biggest fee offered next year I would imagine.

The only reason he's on loan is probably due to his injuries - clubs will see him as a gamble right now after so long out.

What's happening here? Has Tom's loan went through?

Ah just seen the twitter thread, can't conclude a deal.
Hope he gets a move somewhere else sorted then, will do him good to play.

SSN saying two clubs unable to agree a deal. In one sense I'm glad as I think Hudd should be an important part of the squad and I'd hate for him to go to a shitty team like Stoke where as a midfielder he'll be bypassed by constant hoofs, but on the other hand if he isn't loaned elsewhere is he just going to miss out on games if AVB doesn't see him as such a useful player?

I imagine it's probably because we want a recall clause but they don't or they want a chance to buy and we don't. Stoke seemed an odd place to send him anyway.

I don't know if Spurs had any plans for THudd to get playing time and then come back or not, but worse things could happen than keeping THudd in the squad

Mirror might have some stuff right but there's also some level of definite bollocks.
If there's any loan fee, then he could only be recalled during a transfer window, not at 24 hours notice.
My guess would be Stoke (reasonably) will only pony up 500k to have him guaranteed all season, not just till Jan. We should concede or waive the fee.

Maybe that's a sign that Moutinho is a no-go...? Or maybe, he is being held back as a Fulham/Dembele sweetener?

Or maybe, I'm waffling bollocks again
