Has Lawton mentioned that Scum breached the rules twice and just received a £10k and £60k fine despite re-offending? Or is that too close to home for him…
This is the pertinent thing. Clickbait news sites will almost always try and whip up hysteria over the potential punishments. When the precedent is for this to be a pitiful fine that’s barely even a deterrent for clubs in competitions higher than league two.

The thing on this that has piqued my interest is every report is saying "serious breach". Obviously using an unlicensed agent is not good but I wouldn't have thought that alone merits the usage of the word "serious" in every report. I wonder is there something we don't know here.

I'll be shocked if we've done much or anything wrong given how straight Levy seems to be. That said, I guess we have to wait and see what comes out of it before making any judgement.

Just sensationalist headlines all written by the same single bloke

The FA is probably scared shitless by the scrutiny that would come with any new independent regulator. It's just a lot of posturing to look like they have their house in order. It is probably why they went so hard at Everton; considering the magnitude of Man City's breaches, I expect them to be relegated to the national league. :ROFLMAO:

The FA is investigating the £99,999 transfer of Jimmy Greaves from Milan to Tottenham. Apparently nobody can explain what happened to the missing £1

While they are at it, they can investigate Arsenal's dubious election to the first division in 1919.

It's similar to when a journalist wants to exaggerate the effect of an intervention of a politician. You'll often hear 'a senior MP in the XYZ party has said/done.....' despite the fact that the 'senior MP' talked of is only 31 years old; was only elected a few months ago; and has never held any position of note.

Clickety click though.

No statute of limitation? It’s 7 years for most crimes, isn’t it?
In the UK there is no Statute of Limitations for criminal offences, there is in the US. There is a limit of 6 full years (i.e. 7 years minus 1 day) for civil matters, but if new evidence comes to light then the new evidence can revoke the time elapsed.

I have no idea what effect the limit on Civil maters has on the FA and it's procedures, I suppose you could argue that the limit in Civil cases should apply, but if new evidence come to light then ....... !

The Times really are desperately trying to make a story here. There is none. Slow news week, or a reporter who's got an editor in his back demanding "exclusives". Unfortunately, this is a poor one. The Times usually does better.

Its only being peddled around due to the Everton/Chelsea/City stuff. Its sensationalist. Fucking media.

And they’ll keep doing it because it works. Riles up a whole fan base and other teams fans. Get clicks for their site 💰

I've negged repped for that reason I stated alone. I get some folks don't like being neg repped but that's all it was, get over it.
I don't mind the rating at all, if you felt the need to neg, it's entirely up to you.
I was just speaking my mind, in that I felt like you were unnecessarily beginning to pile onto Levy in your last couple of posts.
You obviously disagree with that, which is fine, we're all free to disagree but I just found it telling that you disliked it instead of simply disagreeing.

How, when and why people use the rating system can be quite telling about certain members on here, so I've learned over the years.

If I cared about the rating, I'd have moaned about it in that weird little section that appears on the bottom of the page of What's New, that seems to be the place to complain about ratings. 😁

I believe he also had a some sort of office job at WHL that allowed them to break the maximum wage structure with his 'second' job.
He just had to turn up and do nothing, very similar to Ndombele now.

Fucking hell. Can't wait until the real football starts again this weekend so I don't have to read about this meaningless nonsense.

So we’ve used an unlicensed agent? Don’t really get the whole uproar, maybe I’m missing something big.
I’d be shocked if 75% of the PL haven’t done so themselves, fine us/slap on the wrist then warn of much harsher penalty if done again and then move on.
Surely if we didn’t pay him we didn’t use him. I’m not sure talking to a player’s friend constitutes using him as an agent. Seems very much like a mountain out of a molehill.
