We have to play everyone twice at some point, and we'll certainly have a major part to play in the title deciders in April/May. Some fixtures will likely get moved due to Europe and other Cups anyway.

United were slow starters last year, while we started well results wise. Nobody knows how teams will be when the season kicks off. No point getting worked up over it.

A few extra away games early on is no bad thing

It gives Ange and the boys a chance to try new things away from the pressure of 60,000 red faced and sunburnt Spurs fans moaning at every misplaced pass. Man Utd at home for his first game is also fine as the atmosphere should be great and the new season positivity should still be there. Bit of a free hit.

I'm maybe feeling over positive this morning but i dont see anything to stress about with those fixtures

I think the list just shows how much stronger in depth the league is becoming.

Before you might look at 4 teams and think bugger but now you look at Arsenal, Newcastle, City, Liverpool, Chelsea under Poch, Brighton, Brentford and Villa. It’s almost half the league being very hard games.
There is another way of looking at this you know...

And here I thought our first few fixtures aren't all that bad. Especially when compared to someone like Newcastle.

Aston Villa, Man City, Liverpool, Brighton then Brentford? They're starting their season with 5 top half teams which is rough as all hell. Hope that slows down their momentum.

Away games at the start of the season aren't overall ideal BUT given they're all against teams who either finished below us or weren't in the same league as us I don't think it's all that bad.

That April run-in looks tough. Here's hoping other teams cup commitments at that stage put a dent in those sides.

Two very hard games to start with. We are going to have to be very patient as we could easily begin with two defeats, especially if we have the anticipated slow start under Ange.

Don’t know what you lot are looking at but I think that’s quite a nice fixture list for us 🤷‍♂️

Decent first five fixtures against open teams we can ‘get at’ to bed-in Anges new ideas. Busy Christmas period playing teams who aren’t set up / use to playing high volume of games.

Tricky patch in late April should mean tough games are later in season so we go into them in a decent position

And worst case scenario Kane fucks off to Utd at least we play him in August :bag::whistle:

We had Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U all in a row towards the end of the season that Harry got us in to the CL

Hopefully it benefits us at the end of the season when we face the big teams that we have no European competition in our legs.

So important we address our issues early in the window, feels like well be in for a rough start without it.

I dont see first few fixtures as terrible. Sometimes, its better to play some of these teams early on anyway. Brentford, Burnley, Bournemouth , United doesnt see all that bad.

Does anybody know when the TV fixtures will be announced? I’m guessing the United game is likely to be picked and I need to book parking.

I just hope we get off to a good start for Big Ange and make an effort to at least get back to top 4 and maybe show a bit in the cups. Unlike previous seasons we have one game a week surely we can at least keep the fans interested until the latter stages of the season.

Ahhhh they've put the City Home game right at the end of the season, right when City are playing their best, so they listened to Pep's complaints that they never score at our stadium.
You could always say that by then we might know what we are doing under the new manager.
interesting finish. 4 out of top 6 in the last 6 games.
