Oh how wonderful.

Can't wait for people to have a go at Levy/ENIC/Lewis/Paratici because we weren't a more tempting proposition that Barcelona.

I don't understand why people are fussed either way over these links. If it happens, great, if it doesn't then it's not going to ruin my day. Any article on here is often met either with derision because "lads it's (insert name of source)" or as you say, pre-complaints that the club won't be prepared to stump up the money.

I can see us offering contracts to a lot of out of contract players. Good to move quick and hope at least one accepts.

If - and of course we have no idea what the offer is - as per Levy the offer is insulting, nowhere near what they want, then this is all bollocks. Stop wasting every ones time. If we're serious, go in big. Act like a big club.

It's just so predictable mate, and even more boring to read.

People STILL moan that we didn't get the 2 guys who Pochettino wanted (sorry, I can't remember their names. Maybe De Jong was one?) but they went to bloody Barcelona.

They just think we should throw more money at these types of players & actually believe that'll make them choose us instead of the likes of Barcelona, Liverpool etc.

I bloody love this club, and I'm not the most intelligent of people. But I'm at least able to understand our place in the football hierarchy. And it most certainly is not alongside those clubs when it comes to players choosing between them and us.

Bang on mate (except for the intelligence bit - you seem pretty intelligent to me).

i would think we may have put tentative feelers out for

Dybala
Lingard
Eriksen
Rudiger
Dembele
Isco
Modric
Bale
Kessie
Perisic

just to see whats up, guess you can build a decent team with the "'frees" this summer

Given the importance of this summer’s window & the fact we need at least 4 quality, 1st team-ready players, our targets have to be attainable.

We can’t be wasting time flirting with players who will go elsewhere. And I’d suggest Dybala falls into that category.

It's almost like your preparing for the melt-down already, getting set to tear into Levy?

You know that it's Paratici doing the hard work now, yeah?

Even before Fabio, we didn't scrimp with our offer to Ndombele to get him signed and by all accounts we matched Liverpools number for Diaz, he just chose them.

Let's stop this old narrative now and not get wound up by what we don't know.

1. I'm not especially anti Levy.
2. Yes, I am aware Paratici is doing a lot of the work as far as we know.
3. N'Dombele and LoCelso are very rare.
4. There's a reason there is 'this old narrative' because it's well earned. I'm not and never had a melt-down in my life. People are allowed another view that doesn't exactly line up with yours. We have every right to be cautious given the majority of our 'links to big name players'.
