Tottenham slap £20M price tag on Rodon

Tottenham have set an asking price for Joe Rodon worth up to £20 million. Rodon is currently on loan with Leeds United as the Whites attempt to gain promotion back to the top flight. The Welshman has been a key part of Daniel Farke’s side, who sit third in the Championship table.

If he helps Leeds get up I don’t see that as unreasonable, we paid £11m and he’ll still have 18 months left on his contract.
Would definitely take £15m if he’s not in Ange’s plans though.

It would be good if we had him here now with the CD problems we have at the moment, especially as he's having a good season at Leeds. I think he's a much better option than Dier.

It would be good if we had him here now with the CD problems we have at the moment, especially as he's having a good season at Leeds.

I don't think performances in the Championship prove someone's readiness for the Premier League. If they did then his decent form for Swansea (which convinced us to take a punt on him) would have been followed by regular playing time in the PL.

I think he's a much better option than Dier.

Dier hasn't been picked ahead of Rodon by four successive managers for no reason.

He'd almost certainly be a better option than Phillips or Dorrington, as he's older / more experienced and actually has a decent amount of meaningful playing time under his belt this season (which he wouldn't have if he was still in our reserves), but I'm hoping they'll become much better palyers than him by the time they're 26.

We also have Tanganga out on loan. It would be interesting to know if we'd be able to recall one of them if our situation worsens.
