I was really anti any oil money, as i feel it’s just a cheat code and it’s not earned. I would much rather we won organically but the chances of that happening are very slim. Not because we would never have the money, i think we are set up to bring that in, but it is simply a mentality thing as we are a cowardly club from top to bottom and that can only be changed by new owners.

1. Levy and enic are cowards. Levy thinks he has taken a massive financial gamble with our stadium, but it is a sure fire bet to print money and his investment is almost guaranteed. Where the real risk is on the pitch as it is just as easy to buy expensive duds that depreciate by simply pulling an all night bender and being fined two weeks wages. Whilst teams like arsenal, chelsea, pool (less so recently) have taken hits regularly over the years levy has been bitten one summer and thought never again (although it could be argued he hardly went crazy big after the champions league final)

2. Our manager is a coward. Yes he might make noises in the press conferences, but there is a fine line between calling levy out and just plain moaning when you know the card you have been delt, i mean levy has 20years of history, what did you expect? Conte is too naive, afraid or stubborn to change his system, his favoured personnel and even the substitutions are made so late they lose all momentum of an upward swing. For a world class manager he needs to show some flexibility.

3. The players are cowards. They play within themselves as they are too afraid to play on the front foot. It is easy enough to play with some intent when the opposition have sat back after doing their job on you and then creating a few chances. Why not actually show some bloody ambition from the off. He is the least of our problems but an example is Harry kane who can moan all he likes about being stuck at spurs and winning nothing. He is a player of world class ability but time and time again when it is a crunch match he has been found wanting. How many games of football have the true current greats like messi, mbappe, lewa etc gone missing in big games and yet he wants to be compared to them? Players need to step up.

I mean the motto is TO DARE IS TO DO, and most of our club from top to bottom is too scared to do anything other than coast along. For that reason alone I would want new investment. The irony in that brings a new kind of fear, of the unknown, we could just as easily end up with a moron like moshiri and bohely but at the end of the day, one thing is certain, we are going to win nothing of note under Enic and Levy either way. Better to fail having tried to win than to do nothing at all.

Have the THST said anything recently?
They always used to chirp up at the slightest on/off pitch issue, but now there are real questions the fans want answers to and I haven’t heard a peep from them.
Have I missed something?

Yeah - they sent a letter a couple of weeks ago - club responded saying Paratici will address some things after the transfer window, and Club will release financial statements in February.

They asked the following questions from the club in a letter but iirc the club said they’d answer after the transfer window

Must be annoying losing your passports.
Hugo probably dropped them

In all seriousness I hope they can see in detail the amazing infrastructure. No matter who it is , three days should be a good time to really see what they're potentially investing in.

Hopefully that’s good news and they’re trying to sort the deal before heading back, if they flew back home it’s probably not as close as we’d all hope. (Although it could still be way off)

They’ve found the Toby Carvery near Hotspur way.
I don’t care how rich you are, no one can ignore that sort of value.

If we did become more powerful operators in the transfer market I’m not sure I’d be happy Paratici would be given the chequebook.

Whilst he can definitely spot player, I’ve got massive questions about whether he knows how to build a balanced squad, the same accusations that dogged him at Juve.

Wait until we find out negotiations started in August

Apathy is a great word for it. I am genuinely not even angry now which is something I never thought would happen after being thought a lesson against that lot. .
To go to a game now for me costs about €400 if I can get lucky for flights. Wife knows how much I loved going & is on at me to organise a trip over but honestly since the 2019 season (first game in new stadium ) don't see the point. Would rather spend 100ish on a day session in local to watch 3 games with dinner and wake up next morning in own bed rather than shitty cheap London hotel and have to travel back to Dublin.

It’s terrible what has become of us.

I Sold my second season ticket on the exchange and today it was picked up by a really nice American guy who was so fucking excited to be there at the game. Honestly he was over the moon. I felt so bad for him having to watch that. It’s alright for us because we go a lot so are used to the disappointment but this guy actually was so chuffed to be there, sung along to everything and was just happy to be there. He said he couldn’t believe it. I felt so bad for him. Not my position to do that though is it?

Conte may or may not be the right manager for us but I know for sure I don't want Levy making the decisions on manager/ direction anymore.

It's clear he has no idea what he's doing and I'm starting the believe the success we had during the Poch years was just a series of lucky moves as opposed to savvy footballing knowledge
Totally lucked out.

Look at the coaches he's hired over the years. The ones that were more touted, failed to live up to it (Santini, AVB, Jose)
The ones that were second choices, brought in to save us from relegation or asked to step in did better (Jol, Poch, Redknapp)

I'd also argue that a lot of Levy's buys only did well for the club once a new coach came in - Vertonghen, Walker, Bale, etc etc - which tells you that they weren't the coaches option or in line with their footballing style.
