I understand the supporters wanting Levy and ENIC out of the club, and agree with many of the points being made. I would welcome a change as well.
However, I am honestly a bit surprised that so many wants to see violators of human rights and oppressors of women, LGBTI and migrant workers take over.

I see many fans argue that it is the only way to win something in modern fotball. You could be right, I just wish we tried to change that instead of the club. I have spent 20 years telling Chelsea supporters that their trophies aint worth nothing (I would say the same to Man C supporters if I ever found one). I don’t want to be like them.
If I had to choose between QSI as owners and keeping ENIC and never winning again, I would honestly choose the latter. ?‍♂️
This maybe goes a little further than I would, but not much. I hate (and give shit) to Chelsea fans. Their wins were as dirty and worthless as the source of their cash. Same with city. And now geordies. Do people really want to support the London arm of PSG? fuck that.
Does that mean I just want enic model to carry on? No. Do I like the way levy has balked when we've had times to push on? No. But, we've been run well. Id say to the degree that in the CL final year, we should have gotten a lot more credit for doing it well and doing it right. Missing the last few pieces (erm, like, give footballing people responsibility for footballing matters), we're it my choice, would be my focus vs throwing in the towel and saying fine to whoever has the most cash (and who cares about any downside)
Feel like the minority there though. Which i get (the manager search probably feeling like the turning point). Certainly not as clear cut as I would have been then.. But, I feel it (who the owner is, what they did / do to get the cash) SHOULD matter more than it appears to..

I've been hearing this for 20 years :D At some point it's bedfellows, the grass isn't always greener on the other side and we don't want to do a Leeds usually follows.

Given the length of time people have been being 'careful what they wish for' I think taking that punt is all we have left.

IMO it's beware the bogeyman bilge. But if it works for you then fair play.
Especially given what happened to Leeds isn't going to happen now. I know people criticised Barca for how they treated players under contract who they didn't want but they have this obsession to win titles. They did whatever it took and now they're challenging for the title again and just won the super cup. That's a team with massive debts and yet their success keeps them above board. They still sign elite players and we don't even need to go to that extreme in the richest league. I just want someone who will spend on the football over the infrastructure and not be happy to qualify for Europe.

Plus we had the upper hand that year with poch just managing him at Southampton. I often look at that moment as the difference between us and Liverpool over the last 5-6 years. All ifs, buts, and maybes though unfortunately
He never managed Mane mate. He joined Southampton on 1st September 2014 when Poch was already our manager.

Lol come on mate Conte has been here for just over 2 transfer windows. He himself acknowledged that a whole squad doesn’t get built that quickly. You’re basically saying Levy has failed because he has’t bought a whole new team in two transfer windows. I know everyone is sticking the boot in, but that is just ridiculous.
I'm not suggesting we needed to do all that in one window, I'm fully aware that would have been too much to do. Please don't think that's what I was suggesting cause I wasn't.

What I am highlighting though is that we didn't do enough to bridge that gap and 2 of those critical positions we have made compromises.

Yes. It should matter to those who run football in this country. It should matter to the likes of Beckham and Fifa who enrich themselves off the back of the Qatari regime. And it should matter to players who choose to play for these paymasters enriching themselves with an absurd amount of money to kick a ball about.

But it doesn't because they all want a piece of the pie. Everyone is in it for the pound note... except the fans.

The fans being the lifeblood of the club, paying their hard earned cash to follow the team and buy the kits don't seem to matter in the big corporate world of football. We're pawns to these uber rich elite and frankly, meaningless. Sure, we can protest or boycott but it wont do any good, it's the money that talks. There will be more fans who come along to buy tickets and merchandise (mostly the glory hunters). So we're not hurting the Qatari's by walking away from our club, we're hurting ourselves. The club will be here long after Levy, Lewis or the Qatari's have gone. Us real fans have suffered years of frustration under a tight fisted chairman like Levy. Times up.. we carry on into obscurity or we sell out. And you could bet your last pound coin whoever has a few billion lying around to buy the club have fucked someone over somewhere. You don't get that kind of wedge being an honest operator.

Fans don't give a shite about how 'well run' the club is or how much profit we're bringing in. The game is about glory! That's what I was brought up believing anyway. But all I've witnessed in my 36 years supporting Spurs is them lot down the road winning doubles and the Russian buying a champions league and numerous titles for our other rivals. We haven't had glory in my lifetime, it's just a cliche for marketing.

It's not our club selling out, football sold its soul a very long time ago.

To be honest that Chelsea, Man City titles worth nothing is just jealousy in the main.

I have never seen an asterisk next to their names in the record books, I don’t see their fans or media or players not count the trophies.

where do you draw the line, does Blackburns title count because of Jack Walker’s money ?
How about our 1960/61 team, it had by far the most money spent on it ?

Damn and double Damn Sugar for selling our once great club to the property developers in the first place.
Yet those property developers improved this club enough to be included at the top table (super league) and for the Qataris to be interested enough to invest in.

Could the on field stuff be better? Sure. But they took us from mediocrity to consistently near the top end of the league and the likes of Mourinho and Conte are interested enough to join in the first place. The only thing missing are trophies. They have given us the infrastructure to move to the next level. Give them some credit at least.
