Friedel hasn´t been that poor, though his lack of speed hasa beome even more obvious. The problem is that the team are used to the high line with a quality keeper behind them. Switching to a keeper who really ought to be allowed by the FA to use a walker on the pitch fucks up that balance.

I don't know what his relationship with Levy is like, but the standard has been set previously: missing out on the top 4 is potentially fireable offense. Missing out while playing turgid shitty football will almost certainly see him fired.

How can he not start Lamela in a game like this?
