A joy to watch indeed, but I think we need 5 or 6 good/top players to mix with the very best.
Agree entirely BUT can we afford 5 or 6, if not can we sell some of the deadwood and then be able to afford 5/6 or could we make 1 big sell and then look at 5 or 6. Bit of a conundrum which I can't see being solved for a good time yet. Still we live in hope
Come on you Conte Spurs

Wtf? Lol have you been listening? He's been willing them to equalize. Banging on about how amazing their fans are and even tried to suggest their red shouldn't have been a red. Even though it was a yellow card..... But a 2nd yellow for a red, he said he didn't know about that.

I said the same about Pearse in a whatsapp group last night.
.
Normally the commentator bigs up the 'English' team in these Euro comps but he was getting himself off praising Vitesse and deriding some of our stuff. Weird

I've been so apathetic about Spurs, probably like everyone else. As soon as Conte was announced you could see the mood change instantly in Spurs fans. Me and a mate made the journey up from the south coast and was well worth getting home at 1am for. Ridiculous game, some great play (esp. the build up to the second goal). Finally something to get excited about again.
The drive home was taken up listening to Talkshite and the salty fans of other clubs saying they're not fussed about Conte and the odd few who can't believe it and worrying about us getting something right and what that means for us over the next 18 months. Loving that so many are rattled!

A little late to the conversation about last nights match but, that was way more exciting to watch. Storming into a 3 goal lead with some breath taking play, reverting to type to let in two goals, then defending resolutely, three sending's off, wow !
Almost 100% full entertainment.
Plus Conte has plenty to dwell on, he will have seen the good bad and the ugly (not the film) all in one game..

We should be able to afford 5 or 6 over three windows. The club has to back Conte. Remember to get 5 to 6 good or better we probably have to buy 8 or 9, as some will fail.
That's say 2 in Jan, 4/5 summer etc
The club have to find the money, one way or another

If we, as expected, beat Mura and Rennes beat Vitesse, then we are guaranteed a top two place going into our final group game, which I’m confident of winning.

Well I'm torn on this. It's sad that he downed tools but then you look at how long Kane (and Son) kept Mourinho at the helm. He would have gone much earlier if Kane wouldn't have performed... How long would Nuno have gotten with shit football but a saving Kane??
Very much history repeating itself. How long would AVB's brand of shit football have lasted if Bale hadn't kept knocking is his solo goals?

I dont know if it was the sams commentator we had on Paramount + in the states, but I couldnt stop thinking that there should come a time when his producer should tell him to cool it or get off the broacast. It got weird i thought. A slobbering, over the top love for Vitesse.

We have bias commentators here for our sports & I have listened to tons of broadcasters by now from the UK as we usually always get the international feeds. I get commentators will have their favorites & their detestment but like professionals, they will at least attempt to put it to the side. But last night was the strangest, most overt i’ve heard. And it felt indicative of the way i see most football fans react when it comes to Spurs, pure hate for us & pure love for the opposition(doesnt matter who).

I presume he has been told what money is available now and has also been told to let us know who you don't want so any funds raised from their sale can be ploughed back into transfer kitty . I hope for once we spend on quality proven players who we need now to stabilize the club and not shop in the bargain basement, and I wonder how he will develop our youth, keep in house or loan out. Lots of interesting sub plots, Conte and Fab love affair, divorce, more sackings by Big Bad Dan, whatever the football is like the new Spurs Soap will be entertaining
Happy days Bob

Jonathan Pearce. Hypermouth. Embarrassed for him.
