Just booked one of those thomas cook matchday packages for the last home game of the season against Hull, bringing my wee lad over from Belfast for his first Spurs game.

Staying in Chingford (first time), just a bit unsure of travelling to and from there to the Lane. Seems to be around 4 miles away from the ground. Hoping to get an early flight into Gatwick then after checking in planning to get a taxi to avoid heavy traffic and sample the atmosphere before collecting our tickets (providing the fixture doesnt bloody change - happened to me before).

Not too sure about getting back though, anyone know if a bus would take us straight back there or would we need to use underground etc? I would get a taxi back if they're handy enough to get to reckon it would be chaotic with traffic. I dont get over much lol

Ta muchly!

I can only suggest that you give your ticket to me! I done exactly the same thing last year for the villa game. Can't recall where we stayed but we got the tube as the buses were chaos on a March day, we previously took one to a previous game. I enjoyed getting the tube and getting off at the station about a mile from it and soaking up the atmosphere. Be prepared to be surrounded by young Chinese girls making duck faces and taking selfies holding their passes! Not that I have anything against them but I am there for the footy. If you need any help fire me a pm and I will ask the Mrs tonight, as she is good with the details and I would have got lost

If you're staying in Chingford your best bet would be to catch the train from Enfield Town Station (I think you can get a bus from Chingford to Enfield Town) to White Hart Lane Station. Should about a 10min journey. It's good that you're staying around there as there won't be as big a queue on the way back from the ground as everyone will be going towards central London.

Seven Sisters. Its the way I have always gone too. Take the tube/train to seven sisters and walk the rest. It may be a bit of a trek but I enjoy it, seeing the sea of spurs fans and various Chicken emporiums. Helps me get rid of some nervous energy prior to a game.

Hope you enjoy the game mate!

I was all paid up to go to the NLD there...and fell really sick two days before - just my luck, and couldn't travel. Fucking gutted I missed it!

Ahh no way mate nightmare, id be devastated too. Cheers, hopefully keep my record going of not seeing us lose (2 wins and a draw so far lol) just threw the head up this morning and booked it out of the blue, wee lad is buzzing!

Either go into Seven Sisters and walk up sampling a kebab on the way, or get to white hart lane station quite easily. Don't bother with a taxi unless you are getting one from a mile or so away. Part of the fun is getting off (and on) the train surrounded by fellow yids of all sorts!

Should add, if you want a beer in a family friendly environment go to the Irish Centre right by White Hart Lane station. Mainly oldies and friendly types and its a community centre style environment with food and beer...

Depends where you are in Chingford, it's a pretty big area. You could get the 313 bus to Enfield Town and get the train from there (but I'd leave a lot longer than 10 minutes to do that!!). Alternatively you could get the 444 bus to Angel Corner and walk from there.
