just looking for some travel thoughts.

I usually drive up to WHL from Bournemouth and park in behind Bruce's Castle but im already up in London on the weekend of the Roma game.

So what would be the best way to get to the ground from central London? Tube or train? Gonna be staying at regents park so im guessing its either tube and a walk from oxford circus or trek to liverpool street and get the train.

Any thoughts on which is best?

You have two options. Get yourself to Seven Sisters by tube and then a 4 minute train ride to WHL station or get yourself to Liverpool St station and get a train to WHL from there. It takes about 20 minutes.

the idea that its difficult to get to whl by public transport is a myth, of course there are better placed grounds but in the end if you no what your doing it a piece of proverbial.
My own preference (from kings cross) is tube to seven sisters, train to whl, in the event the trains arent running or theres a long wait then a nice walk along the high road.

alternatively tube to liverpool street followed by train to whl or northumberland park, the latter is quicker.

Know you said tube or train, but i used to live in RP and i used to jump a bus to kings cross (york way)..there is a bus 257 i think,or something similar, that goes right passed the stadium....much more easier and relaxed way to go, although it takes more time.
So if your not in a hurry to get there i would recommend it.

Get to Liverpool Street, then take the train/tube from Liverpool Street to Seven Sisters then walk to WHL!

that is the easiest and best way to get to WHL IMO...

Why get off the train at Seven Sisters when it will take you to WHL station?

Why get off the train at Seven Sisters when it will take you to WHL station?

Several reasons:

1. Nice walk
2. Exercise
3. Don't have to be on a packed train to WHL
4. Such a hassle getting out of WHL station
5. Has more oppurtunities to buy food or drink than actually at WHL

hope that answers your questions!

Getting out at SS is just as much of a hassle as getting out at WHL or BG.

But yes, it's a nice walk, for those with eyes to see above the garish shopfronts, and you do have a bigger range of eateries coming from SS.

The other rail option, depending where you're coming from, is South Tottenham on the Gospel Oak-Barking line (link to the North London line at Gospel Oak). Five minutes further away than SS.
