Quick post as it seems he might be headed to PNE:
Preston tend to play a 352 with 2 forwards. They had about 7 attacking players last season including Scott Sinclair (released), Cameron Archer (end of loan), Joe Rodwell-Grant (released), Tom Barhkuizen ( Derby County) who are no longer with the club. Main forward is 6"3 Danish player, Emil Riis Jakobsen ( finished the season with 44 app/ 16 goals/ 5 assists), they also have Ched Evans (age 33 ) and Sean Maguire (age 28) who both combined for a whooping 53 appearances across all competitions, where they contributed 4 goals and 5 assists total.
What does that mean for Troy if the loan goes through? If he can stay injury free, plenty of starts and opportunities. Troy did end his last season on loan, albeit in League 1, with 47 total appearances, 10 goals and 7 assists. Also, keep in mind that while Troy was on loan at MK Dons, he did play at RW, LW, SS, CF, so that would have impacted his output. I think this could be a good move for him and I'll certainly keep an eye on his progress.
