The likes of Scott Carson picking up a winners medal when they haven’t played a single minute of CL football really sticks in the craw. And it’s his second!

Say this all you want but if spurs had gotten the same success with the same methods you wouldn't give a rat's ass.

Football has become a money game, and it's always going to be this way.

I will probably get crap for this and so be it.. but Chelsea just showed you can spend as much as you want but if you don't spend it right it doesn't work.

You think they don't matter to the players then look at Grealish right now. He can't even speak.

To say these will be meaningless to players is nonsense. They still work their asses off all year to get to this point.
I would probably love it, but I, as well as all other fans, would know we were cheats. I don't know any city fans, I doubt anyone does, but I remember when Roman bought Chelsea. They were so successful but the fans were almost embarrassed about how they got there. All you had to do to shut them up was to say they were a plastic club, or the plaything of a tyrant. I don't want that to be us. If we don't win nothing, so be it. At least no one can say we're plastic

For the everyday common football fan, their journey since being taken over in 2009 has been incredible, even more so since Pep joined.
And further back than that. I have City fans in the family. Followed them down to third division, inflatables waving at Notts County away or wherever, and back up. More of a story than Real Madrid winning again IMO

Rio… ‘if you could bottle this feeling and sell it on the shelf, you’d be rivals to the likes of amazon’

Insightful stuff. I find it insane the amount of non articulate ex players like rio, joe cole etc that are given a voice on tv.

What actually happens when City one day get to the end of contesting the FFP charges with their deep pockets just to delay the obvious - and they’re found guilty?

Onana Onana Onana

If we spend 40m on a GK, I hope we do it on him. Shame he is on losing side today.

My man of the match Stones, given I have to pick one from winning side but IMO, Onana the best player on the pitch today...

First half, had more passes than any City player. Most of his passes were progressive.
Second half, played almost like a midfielder.

If there is even a small chance he is ok to come to us, if Inter sell... I would rather spend 40m than Raya.

Before the game I genuinely wasn’t that bothered if they won ( I’m surprised it’s taken them this long to win it tbh and they are a superb team despite the cheat code), but the more I listened to the commentary the more desperately I wanted Inter to win.
And this is the thing...
City got taken over in 2008, almost 15 years ago and since then they have been trying to win the UCL. All even though they are financially doped like no club in history, have the premier league TV money, the first and second best teams in the league, with the most elite mentality, one of the most successful managers in the world. And yet this is their first UCL win.

And here's us wondering why it's so hard for us to win a trophy

They've threatened to drag out the court battle long enough to bankrupt UEFA, and they have way more financial muscle to compete with.

It will honestly end in a slap on the rest and the saga being swept under the rug.
