Which is what we're going to get, because it's necessary for the E39 technology that UA have already announced will be incorporated into our new kits.

Correct me if I'm wrong (usually the case) but I was under the impression, this would only be used in training kit etc. I don't think it's licensed for EPL use. Which would allow for a more "comfortable" shirt on matchdays

It definitely seems like it will be used in our match day shirts: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-shirts-could-show-how-tired-players-are.html

They will be our only sponsor next season. I've never heard of a club using 1 kit maker for their training kit and another for match day kit.

We are the first English club to use UA for kits. They supply a few clubs with their long sleeve winter stuff but thats it.

I'm hoping to get my hands on the mock ups from UA later this spring as I have a friend whose brother is an accountant for the company and has seen sneak previews of other kits they've made for different sports.

It's baggy, so I don't know how you got that

It doesn't have to be tight. You could always order a larger size if you don't like a tight fit. If you're a medium, large or XL are going to be baggy for you

According to the Telegraph article I posted the E39 technology is going to be used in both match shirts and training shirts, the only way the E39 technology works is with a compression shirt. Unless they're going to sell completely different replica shirts or somehow make the shirts double skinned then they will be tight.

They may use their compression shirts for the E39 Tech underneath the shirt....(thats what the company is known for their compression shirts).

Is UA sold in the UK? Because their compression shirts are a second skin. There is no give. Aaron Lennon can wear an XL and it will still hug his body. There may be pockets of air, but it is skin-tight. You remember the Kappa we wore back around 2005? That is about 1000X more loose than UA's compression wear. If that is what they designing our next kit with, then I just saved 70 pounds. I'll wear their stuff to work out, but with a t-shirt over it. And never in public. You'd look like an asshole wearing a shirt like that. Or if you have the build of an NFL player, you'll look like a rapey asshole.

In fact, I just took out my Large compression shirt by them. It look the size of a small girls shirt. It just stretches.

They do sell UA in the UK

It wont be anything like their compression stuff. It will be a proper shirt.

I would love to know how you're so sure of this, do you have any links to show this? All the articles I have found so far say that the E39 technology will be incorporated into the shirt, the only way the E39 technology works is with a compression shirt, so the only logical conclusion is that the shirts would have to be compression shirts.

Therefore, assuming all the articles I've seen so far are correct and they're not expecting fans to show off their exquisite physiques, either the shirts the players wear will be completely different to the replica kit or the shirt will be some kind of double skinned affair with a compression skin and a regular fit skin.

they are anyway. Do you not remember a few seasons ago when spurs released the 'replica shirt' and the 'players shirt' - think it was the piss stained kit.

Yep, the player's shirt was made from a higher quality material, and if I remember rightly you could buy them for about twice the price of the replica shirts, but they were still the same design and pretty much the same fit as the replicas.

Or part of the "kit" will be a compression shirt that most players wear anyway with the E39 tech built in, underneath a normal sized match shirt with no tech.

If the shirt is skintight very few fans will buy it, and they will want to sell as many as possible. That's sort of the point of the replica shirt.

At least that's what I would expect. We are very good at the business side of things and wouldn't expect us to be repeating previous mistakes.

We'll lets think about it.....are players really going to be comfortable wearing skin tight compression shirts as their regular top every weekend? I highly doubt UA will put out a shirt like that for the player to wear. They will most likely use a double layer shirt with the E39 Tech in a compression shirt under their shirt.

The design of this concept (only compression shirt) would go against everything UA has put out for football.

I will try to find out what we can expect later this spring.

As far as I am aware none of the other UA football shirts incorporate the E39, so it's bound to go against all their current football shirts.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The above is what the E39 tech shirt is all about. There is no chance we will be wearing that as our primary kit.

It will be an under shirt, with another shirt on top.

The north London club has signed a £50m deal with sportswear company Under Armour to wear its space-age E39 shirts. The E39 features a sensor called a Bug that monitors a player's body. It records heart rate, breathing and skin temperature, storing the data on a 2GB hard drive and beaming the stats to a computer via Bluetooth. Coaches such as Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp can see a player's performance during training on their iPad or iPhone.
The new Spurs shirt also boasts an accelerometer, measuring a player's movements and recording how much G-force they face. The data is analysed by software from Zephyr, which provides similar tech to the US military.

Think we'll just have the E39 tech on the training gear, I've seen nothing that suggests it will be on the matchday kit. Would the FA even allow it?
