I've been one of Jan's biggest critics recently, and not without justification, but I have to say, the amount of unwarranted stick he got yesterday from all and sundry for his part in the red carding of one of the Hull players was way over the top, for me.

He was kicked from behind and had his legs taken from underneath him and I defy anyone, including that bunch of morons who analysed the game afterwards, and those clueless numpties who commentated on the game, not to have not gone over like a sack of carrots under the same circumstances.

He did not roll around as if he'd been hit by a tank like some other players would have done, he just sat there and motioned with outstretched arms, as if to say 'what the f**k was that for'?

Steve Bruce really is an almighty ****. His comments about the incident after the match were a disgrace..He should start looking a little closer to home if he's looking for a culprit. His player acted like a hot headed thug and fully deserved to go off.

Completely agree. He got tripped and didn't play act on the floor.

Was great to see him celebrating the winner too - could the body language experts tell me what this showed exactly?

Play acting you say? I suggest monkey head takes a look at Robbie Brady who was rolling around with what appeared to be a broken leg after Dier fouled him. One of the Hull subs throws a ball at him and the twat gets up laughing.

Or when we kicked the ball out of play because Ramirez was "injured", as soon as it comes back in to play he's running around fine.

Steve Bruce is a thick as sh*t bloke, for him to blame Vertonghen for them losing is ridiculous, what he should have said is that his player was a bit silly to give the referee and his linesman a decision to make. Like said above aswell, Hull were doing more than their fair share of falling over just like TaoistMonkey at a Justin Bieber concert!! :sneaky:

Also, he has actually played reasonably well in a pretty awful defensive unit when he's been selected recently. To those who don't think we would miss his quality if he was to be sold- I strongly disagree.

Agree. I think Steve Bruce was talking out of his arse. Then to hear the same bollox on motd was outrageous. I don't know what Sky pundits had to say but I guess it was similar.

I watched the replay a number of times and he clearly gets kicked in the back of the legs. Yes Vertonghan gave Ramirez a nudge with his knee but Ramirez blatently kicked out and that is a red card. Provoked or otherwise, the bloke committed a red card offence and yet Jan gets publically flogged for being a cheat, unprofessional and a lightweight. Amazing.

I'm still in disbelief about the whole thing to be honest. It goes to show how much we're disliked IMO.

Vertonghen made the most out of it? Pfff...what about the reaction of the pundits/media/Bruce. Pathetic.

Verts was already holding Ramirez boot because it looked like he was going to kick him with that

Gets his back leg and punches him in the arse.

Lol @ Steve Bruce in the background, clapping his hands and uttering the usual deep thoughts of "Come on <insert player's name here>!".

At the very end, isn't he pointing towards the Ramirez/Vertonghen situation, probably thinking that it was Vertonghen in the wrong?

I have a spurs fan in my office who thinks we now use "Dirty Tactics" to get players sent off.

Plank.

In all fairness Jake Livermore should have walked, so Stevie Bruce man the fuck up and get on with it

on another note anyone see the clip of us scoring and the Hull fans celebrating, must have been natural reaction lol

Agree completely. I actually shouted at my TV when on MOTD they were saying that Verts was play acting. And I don't like shouting at my TV as it makes me feel like an old man. #motdpunditwankers.

I did get the hump with the commentator every time he said it.
If a player punched someone "not very hard" is that barely a yellow?

I thought Huddleston was a disgrace, he caught a finger to the cheek from Kane and rolled around on the floor holding his face like a prick.

Huddlestone and Livermore both went into that game yesterday trying to prove something to either Spurs or themselves, but both could've been sent off on another day. Thought some of the tackles were wild and dangerous. If Ramirez hadn't already gone, Livermore would've.

I'm not a fan of Vertonghen due to his overall attitude and lack of passion regarding all things Tottenham, however in yesterday's incident he did nothing wrong and those that tried to make him look like the instigator of Ramirez being sent off are way off the mark

Could not agree more, he is our best CB by a mile and I wonder what the experts on body language had to say after his celebration for the winning goal.
