Keep Lloris Verts and Bale
Add quality left back, creative no. 10 type and out and out striker and the summer is a good un

Trouble is it won't happen

I don't think we need excessive work.

I think we need some competition for places.

Hopefully Rose can battle BAE for the left back spot. Maybe Townsend can make a claim for more 1st team football.

We also have some good players coming into their 2nd season so they should be comfortable by now.

Holtby and Sigurdsson can make a bigger impact in their 2nd season.

A playmaker, a quick winger and a versatile striker is all I really want this summer.

Defence concedes too many, not enough creativity in midfield, a new striker needed and an upgrade on Lennon. So yeah at lot of work needed IMHO. We've played some very dour football this year and not smashed any teams apart from the first Inter game

25 wins this season. 14 by one goal, 6 by 2 goals, 4 by 3 goals, 1 by 4 goals

I'm getting really fucked off with the 'Bale has carried us this season' and 'we missed Rafa this season' bullshit on this forum..

People do realise we have a player of the season every year, right?

And for those still pining for VDV.. the player we sold, wasn't the player we bought - it was OBVIOUS to anyone watching our games at the end of last season that his legs have gone. Ultimately, Bale has replaced him with more pace and more goals.

We just need balance.
Were light on quality in a few positions...4 for me if I was being harsh in our quest for 4th spot.

1 x CF, winger who can switch sides, play maker, left back (although rose and Townsend could help fill some gaps)

If we haven't got the funds to go mad, i'm hoping our scouting network can finally pull out some gems.

Were not far off a quality team. Lloris, walker, Kaboul, Vertongen, Dembele, Sandro, Bale - when all fit would be safe in my next years team...everyone else has to contribute a bit more for me.

We can't not afford to stand still, Liverpool will get stronger next season so it will be even harder.

Tottenham have been a bit unlucky when you check this has been our hightest pts collection in the EPL were 6 pts off ManC, 3 off Chelsea even after all the money they have spent, 1 pt of Arsenal.
I feel next season Vertonghen Dembele Sigurdsson Holtby will be better players we should hopefully have Kaboul and Sandro back plus a new system and added quality

Parker. Sandro. Dembele Lennon Holtby Hudd Livermore. Carroll etc do not even score half a dozen goals in a long season.

There lies a big problem.

One example Dembele. Does not score goals not even six per season. Need better.

City spends heaps and has world class strikers and has 66 goals. Unbelievable we're in the same situation. Wish money really resolved everything. But we would be in 7th anyway.

I'd see where Ades head is the first two weeks of the season to be honest. Too many holes to spend £20-25 million one player right away.

What?!?! We don't need to upgrade Dembele. It would be nice if he scored as many as Lampard, but there aren't many CMs who actually do that.

Arteta scored 6.
Carrick scored 2.
Ramires scored 8.
Silva and Nasri scored 5 each!
Henderson scored 6.

It concerns me how many games we've just about got across the line. We seem to have one most games this season by a 1 goal margin and unlike us with late goals. There are so many occassions when we should have put games to bed long before the 80th minute +. A better quality of attacking player and forward should see us win games more comfortably next year and beat teams that frankly we should have put away at the Lane this year - Norwich, WBA, Stoke, Wigan and Fulham. Costly dropped points in the grand scheme.
