Nice way to start the next season I think.

I hate to be that guy right off the bat, but I have to disagree.

This was honestly the most disappointing thing about the schedule to me, as this game matters to me a lot after last season (as I'm sure it does for all of us) and I'm not keen on it being Poch's first league game in charge with us. I'm happy that he'll have a month of games with the players beforehand and this is a situation where his Prem experience is valuable, but I'm still not overjoyed with opening with this game. If I'm honest, this is probably the single game on the calendar I wanted the most, and it's too bad our chances are mathematically decreased with it being Poch's first game.

That having been said, it would also making winning it all the sweeter. :sneaky:

Welcome to Spurs Mauricio. Win this and instantly win over half the doubters. While losing this would obviously suck balls, gotta look at the positives, a great chance to shut the spammers up straight away and get on with the season.

Ruined my summer. It's v festival weekend so I'm not sure I'll be able to get it off work, which may be a good thing. Again.

I think it's funny when people say about putting up the last results against them in the dressing room. Diddnt work for the second or third time playing them last season did it.

I think last year was just a freak result, sort of like Wigan beating city in the cup, it's possible but not likely...

It's not a game we should be scared of.

High pressure fixture for poch but one that gets the blood racing for the fans. I still play the bale goals from that game every now and again, one of my favourite matches from recent years. :)
