Really pleased with our performance for the first 60-65 mins, disappointed that our work rate dropped off a cliff for the last part of the game. Particularly disappointed as there shouldnt really have been any excuse for that because it's not as if they'd run us ragged so we shouldn't be fatigued, we had not been pushed at all at 3-0 so we should have had bundles of energy left and at that point substitutions to be brought on, I thought Antonio gave them a lift and started to cause us problems.
In conclusion good signs but still much work to do because against better sides we will have to improve greatly in the way we see games out

well Karren Brady, losing to Tottenham at home - harsh but fair?
Very poor hammers team IMO. Two gentlemen players playing out wide who didn’t really want to get involved. Plus they would do better if they played with two keepers. One is clearly not enough.

After seeing their second goal, I think lloris gets down and saves that.
Yep, Hugo isn't perfect but he'll throw a leg at that or get down with his hand.

This is one of Gazza's faults, low shots just to one side of him tend to go in.

But I feel much more confident when Gazza has the ball at his feet.

What did Jose say to Dele and Son walking off? I missed that but Rebecca Lowe on NBC said apologies for the language.

something that involved Jose saying “fucking hell”.

Absolutely retarded tv network following Jose around right behind him, trying to get some sneaky insight into what was being said, then apologising in shock that people involved in football actually swear.

Yeah, its Hugos only real weakness, but with less of the passing to CBs getting pressed like fuck perhaps it won't be such an issue under Jose.

Mate there will be hundreds of these salty posts from the Poch loyalists.

Yeah totally. So predictable it's unreal. See what they want to see and avoid what actually happened (if I'm allowed to point that out ?)

From the post match interview I'm not sure Dele is sold on Mourinho.
I know what you're getting at as he wasnt best pleased at being subbed and not exactly grinning from ear to ear in post match interview either.
Still its been a long week and cant read much into that. If JM picks him most games and plays him behind Kane he'll be well on board.

First away win since January ? Will take it anyway it comes. Only small note from me is would have liked to have seen Lo Celso introduced instead of Eriksen. Will be interested to see how he involves him on Tuesday, really feel he is a key for us moving forwards in terms of creativity

Clearly took our foot off the gas with Tuesday in mind. Fantastic start, baby steps but I'm sure we'll see vast improvements before too long.

7/10 performance as a whole. We beat the Pikey's in their cup final. Great day.

Dele has shown a lot of class this week in my opinion. He is obviously gutted Poch has gone and has make his loyalty clear after the fact, whereas many players would publicly sit on the fence to ensure they keep in the the new manager's good books. He is Poch's man, but he still went out there and gave everything, played really well - especially in the first half - and was furious to be subbed. The thing is, Mourinho is the type to really respect the way Dele has dealt with this, plus he obviously really likes him as a player. I was pleased to see him given the freedom to play the number 10 role and we are clearly going to see a new improved Dele, as he says, surpassing his previous best. With Dele, Mourinho sees his next Lampard and that is exciting.

I was pleased to see the back of the slow side to side build up that allows defences to get set-up to defend. We have Son Kane and Moura who can latch onto a long ball and really do some damage. On two or three occasions, with a bit of luck with the bounce, Sonny could have been away. It was nice to see the movement up front that has been sadly missing. That was really noticeable with Dele and we benefitted from him finding space and time to play proper passes instead of the silly little flicks he has been doing in the congested areas of the pitch.
I was sad to see Poch go, but if I am really honest, we haven't really played that well for 18 months - we got away with a lot of poor performances with late goals and flattered to deceive. The CL run papered over a lot of cracks. I didn't want Jose to replace him, but that's who we have got. I will be fully behind him. I know it is only one game and he can't have had that much influence but hopefully he can get the best out of the players where Poch sadly couldn't of late.
