I’ll be back in this thread tomorrow as I’ll be spending the evening with the rest of you watching the AFTV videos
Surprised Arsenal look pretty light after a few first team injuries. It's going to be tough with the level of CL games in the week, need a really strong squad. I actually think we have a little bit more depth in midfield and attack than them. Their first team is excellent though no doubt but the best squads usually win the titles.
That’s Olivier of the Christmas car listsThere is a lot of that, with Arsenal apparently playing their 'C' team by the end, but, for some balance, there's this from, err, Olivier Giroud, which puts the result into some context, I think.

This is what happens when little kids listen to muppets like Merson, Bent and Keown and assume these pundits know what they’re talking about.Every Arsenal fan I know predicted a min of a 3 goal win. Be it 4-1 or 5-2 or 3-0. Figured they’d absolutely turn us over.
Haha.
I fucking hate that Lego headed twat, I’d paid good money to see him chinned.Arteta just said 2 points dropped
They dominated chances and possession
Goonies are definitely watching a different game to us stats say arteta is full of shit surprise surprise
They had a very fortunate start to last season and rode the crest of that wave, garnering confidence...We'll see how the season goes but I really do feel that Arsenal overachieved a lot last season. They will still be up there top 4 but can't see them threaten City.
Does he realise that you have to have more of the ball to dominate possession?Arteta just said 2 points dropped

How much!I fucking hate that Lego headed twat, I’d paid good money to see him chinned.
Hopefully. I think there was a bit of similarity to the momentum Leicester had when they won the title. This time City proved too strong and got enough points to overtake Arsenal. Now City have started stronger and Arsenal are not sitting at the top early so will be different I'm sure. They had a very fortunate start to last season and rode the crest of that wave, garnering confidence...
Right up until they bottled it.
Always thought it could adversely affect them and the belief just isn't there for me from their players.
If/When they are on the end of a couple of bad results/performances, i can see things turning sour fast.

Nah, I’d happily spend a weekend in Pontins with Rodgers if it meant I didn’t have to spend five minutes with Arteta.Arteta is a Spanish Brendan Rodgers
The dart throwing was just banter with Maddison, who gives it to others so should be able to take it. And we'd do the same trying to get someone sent off who was on a booking? Swings and roundabouts you know.Love the excuses some of their nitwits will make. Objectively, they should have beaten us on paper. In reality, it was a fair draw. They relied on an OG and an unfortunate pen to score both goals. We earned ours. And aside from gifting resting sour face a chance, they hardly created anything.
Oh, and I never used to have any issues with Saka. But after his dart throwing shithousery and trying to get Udogie sent off at the end. Thought he was better than that bush league behavior. Apparently not.
Karma. Maybe don’t act like a bitch next time you score. Try to celebrate without being a mocking little muppet.
One of the most important lessons I've taught to my son is that even though they get paid to talk about the game, the majority of pundits know fuck all about it.This is what happens when little kids listen to muppets like Merson, Bent and Keown and assume these pundits know what they’re talking about.
Not 1 gooner I know suggested anything more than a 1 goal win, which is what most of them went for.
It’s funny as fuck watching them slowly realise they’re not as good as they’ve been led to believe.
