This absolute whooper…

I don’t understand how someone’s mind works like this…

So what is the comsensus here as to what will happen?

scenario 1) The match is replayed over a full 90 minutes due to less than competent officiating unduly influencing the result

scenario 2) The match carries on 10 vs 11 with us 1-0 up from 34 minutes?

scenario 3) We get awarded 1 or 3 points due to unfairly having a goal chalked off.

scenario 4) The VAR team and referee get sacked from all future football officiating.

scenario 5) The VAR team and referee get a short paid holiday and are then reinstated to cause further havoc in the future.

I'd accept any of the first 4 but I expect it will be 5.
Their reaction is so so funny. The fact that one bad decision they think that the match should be replayed. The victim mentality is crazy.

I guess on this basis there should be a replay and petition on at least one game every round of the premier league. Would screw United over haha.

can someone clip this and add all the descisions that have gone Pools way at the end just to silence the fecking pool fans, they are so annoying
Any sane person knows it. Liverpool have had way more than their fair share of decisions. However they are not sane and the delusion runs high.

To be honest I find it hilarious. I'm so tempted to create a troll account.

Liverpool Football Club acknowledges PGMOL’s admission of their failures last night. It is clear that the correct application of the laws of the game did not occur, resulting in sporting integrity being undermined.

We fully accept the pressures that match officials work under but these pressures are supposed to be alleviated, not exacerbated, by the existence and implementation of VAR.
It is therefore unsatisfactory that sufficient time was not afforded to allow the correct decision to be made and that there was no subsequent intervention.
That such failings have already been categorised as “significant human error” is also unacceptable. Any and all outcomes should be established only by the review and with full transparency.
This is vital for the reliability of future decision-making as it applies to all clubs with learnings being used to make improvements to processes in order to ensure this kind of situation cannot occur again.
In the meantime, we will explore the range of options available, given the clear need for escalation and resolution.

That's the thing, it'll never happen anyway - no way the premier League would create a precedent like that but you can bet your arse that they wouldn't be calling for a replay if the roles were reversed.
But there the most honest fans in the world, they'd wouldn't dare let the ref dish out an injustice during 90mins they would right the wrong there and then, so no need to even offer a replay 🤔

I'll tell you what's caused most of this uproar about the red card.. Gary Neville.

Well Gary Neville + thick fans that do not understand the actual laws of the game.

Gary Neville going on and on and on about how the foul was "unintentional" so shouldn't be a red is what has caused most of this, because thick fans will take commentators words as gospel. I guarantee you had Neville said "He hasn't meant it but it's reckless and dangerous." There'd be half the people complaining about it.

There's still a shockingly high amount of people that believe all lines must be drawn from BOTH players shoulders just because they saw it happen once in a game. Not realising it's just the furthest point of the body in which a goal can be scored/defended up to the the sleeve of the shirt for arms.

I mean i'm not sure why i'm so shocked "thick" and "Liverpool fans" don't naturally go hand in hand but there we go.

Bang on.

And because Neville is United, oh....it must definitely be the case, even he's saying its not a red....

Really went off him last night.

They’re just so used to receiving benefits getting the benefit of the doubt that their unfortunate sawdust head cavities can’t process anything that doesn’t go their way. Fortunately it brings nothing but joy and merriment to fans of all clubs who’ve been on the other end of it from them over the years. This is simply amazing!

The most ridiculous accusation that I've read is the allegation that somehow there's agenda at work or it's corruption. It's not just them that harp on like that when there's been a poor decision but it's so baseless - where's the reasoning behind the suggestion that the authorities would be out to stitch Liverpool FC up?

Neville was acting in that way for a reason. He was buying credit from the scousers for his CV, no more no less.
Had it been Utd playing L'Pool, he would have reacted in a completely different way.

Neville has gotten really bad as a co- commentator. Actually used to like him too.

The ref was a disgrace to be fair. He should have helped organize their defence for our first goal and should have shouted for Matip to let it go for the second.

He believes his own hype, and thinks he is the actual mouthpiece of British football.

He just makes my skin crawl…giving it the biggun about the World Cup then going there saying nothing about the human rights.
I’m glad that he got ripped to shreds in Have I got News for You.

I was hoping to bring some quotes from the legendary RAWK Meltdown thread on Redcafe but it appears to be locked so I’ll just leave this here from the last page as it perfectly represents the scouse incredulity
