What a wally, Klopp really can't want games replayed?

Their MP has sent a letter complaining to talk sport that Simon Jordan said this: “You’ll build up this conspiracy theory, this victim culture of Liverpool fans being penalised by a goal that’s been disallowed.” - That one sentence has prompted a whole side of A4 complaint.

Don't be silly, it's only games replayed that they lost

It's totally going to happen isn't it?

It's us - we're the guinea pigs that lead to rule changes.

We finish 4th but don't get CL due to Chelsea - they change the rule after that.

Sissoko handball in CL final - they change the rule after that.

It's us...
It won’t happen. It’ll open a can of worms that they won’t be able to reverse. Teams have missed out on trophies, European qualification, survival and been relegated through one poor decision. They would all retrospectively fight for replays/reversals.

That’s not even factoring in things like betting. If the result is null and void, what happens? If you placed a bet on a 2-2 draw, do you have an argument to claim winnings? Do your losing bets get another chance?

It won’t happen.

The “article” says the game can be replayed if there was a clear breach of protocol. But there wasn’t a breach of protocol (which was a part of the problem because the protocol was weird). But it was a mistake which lead to them following protocol and not stopping the play once it had restarted. They’d have to find actual evidence of bribery or corruption for this to even be a discussion. Just saying they had an onside goal ruled out for offside so the match “has to be replayed” is crazy.

just refuse to play it, point blank. say it undermines sporting integrity because it's re-engineering potentially a different result. be hilarious if teams refuse to play them or officials refuse to officiate in their games.
Exactly, because a replay then adds a new layer of controversy. You don't fix a problem by applying a new problem. There is no way to do it right, you would have to resume the game from that point of the decision with them down to 10 men, write off the other goals and the cautions picked up after that time, play the exact same players (what if one is unavailable though?). Otherwise there will just be the same question of what if after the game unless somehow the score ends 2-1 to us anyway.

Liverpool will keep piling in on the *Sporting Integrity* angle as its the only one they have. If we are asked and say no, guess what? We dont care about sporting integrity. I dont think it happens, if it were to happen then this will happen at least once a gaming week.
On the the Red card to Jones guy from America doesn't understand the English pundits, he said something along the lines of
You dont give a red for intent, you dont give a red for rolling over the ball, you give a red because at the end of it Biss could have taken a career ending injury, which is why the law is in place, to minimise the chances of it happening. He also said Ex footballers are the worst people to judge on that type of challenge as they probably made more than one in their careers and would have been furious to be sent off for it.

Yes.
He feels this error is unprecedented and deserves a replay. The cards he doesnt think were justified.
If he was really clever, he'd say that the cards were just. It would make him seem somewhat level headed and add weight to his comments about the severity of the disallowed goal. But now it just looks like another game where some decisions went against Liverpool, and obviously every decision that goes against Liverpool is wrong.

Of course Klopp fans the flames. The Premier League have to come out now and say a replay wont happen or this will never end.

If that’s the case, then they need to change the restart rule and NOT replay the entire fixture over one incident.

There aren’t grounds for a replay anyway, it’s just the usual Liverpool sore loser bullshit.

Adding to your ex-player point, one of the most moronic things anyone can believe is that just because someone else has done it at a professional level that their opinion matters more than someone who hasn’t. It’s a tainted narrative that gets thrown about way too much.

If anything, they should know how dangerous that challenge was and what could’ve happened to Bissouma’s leg. But they’re puppets for the media so they’ll toe the line and do as they are told.

Twitter is having a good old laugh about all this. Someone asked Vertonghen to get ready for the CL final replay and he said ‘count me in’. Gary Neville just put lots of laughing emojis (even though he didn’t help on the day!)

Meanwhile Klopp has said Jota didn’t touch anyone at all on both yellows.

Deranged. Can you think of a better suited manager for Liverpool.

Good God @Jgplk1, your fine work in this thread is widely appreciated, but you’re really taking one for the team with this particular barrel of lunacy. Don’t put yourself through any more of it! They’re totally deranged.

One sensible line in there - they should indeed inform the on-field team of the outcome in unambiguous terms. “Check complete” is insufficient, so add “goal stands/disallowed” or just speak whole sentences. It’s a simple fix that can be implemented immediately to avoid repeats of that type of mistake. Learn from archaic lower-budget sports like cricket.
That was gonna be the end, that's why I posted the link, as I couldn't go through 16 more pages (and I had to actually do some work), but Klopp will have riled them all up again with this 🤣😂 I might have to at least have a look tomorrow 😅😅

We need a cheat from Liverpool on Thursday to reignite the need for sporting integrity. In fact. I won’t be surprised if they rehearse something and display some sportsmanship to show themselves as champions of integrity

It's just Klopp playing up to their deranged fan base. Honestly he's so suited to that club. There are only two clubs/fanbases who would behave this way, Liverpool and Arsenal.

They lost the sporting integrity talking point the moment the starting calling for the game to be replayed. What’s worse for sporting integrity, an incorrect decision in which protocol was correctly followed or replaying the entirety of the game the decision was made in that also saw 2 correct red cards being given out?

Liverpool’s crying has gone way too overboard now that they are officially calling for the game to be replayed. The FA & PL should both sanction them now after Klopp’s rambling today which also consisted of him complaining about both reds. This clown crying about this meanwhile he said nothing when a technology used to decide goals fails to do its job causing a club to actually get relegated because of said failure. And he said nothing when he won CL over us thanks to a ridiculous handball decision that everyone knew was so wrong they had to change the rule the next day. A single point likely wont help Liverpool win the league over Manchester City & they are in no danger of being relegated. So he & those self proclaimed victims of it all have no leg to stand on.
