I keep seeing this and i honestly don’t know what people are talking about. We’ve been the better side in our two draws (and had bad decisions against us in both) and full deserved all our wins except last week. Jenas was talking about it on commentary and chucked in the Sheffield Utd game, where we were actually unlucky (at least one nailed on pen not given, goals count whenever you score them, we were the better team by miles)
These people who talk about our luck are totally ignoring its still early days. Even if we get a bit of luck here and there we are winning games while in transition. We're going to get a hell of a lot better over time. There will be more definitive wins and they'll have nothing to say.

That's the thing isn't it? No one on the Spurs end has mentioned a Title race, its been manufactured by other fans and some media as a stick to throw at us.
Yep. We're now top too.

Cue "Spursy" lols when Citeh or Pool inevitably end up winning the title.

I haven’t lived in England for over 20 years but I used to live in Tottenham and loved it there. I don’t think it’s any worse than any other working class inner city area in London or other big Cities. I dislike people putting the area down. It is after all the home of our club so you should embrace it warts and all. It’s extremely bad manners to be so disparaging of somewhere visit by choice.
If I offended you I’m sorry but you are offending the people who live in Tottenham, an area you know nothing about because you just drop by there now and then for a few hours at a time to watch a football match.

I haven't mentioned the people, I don't know them, and the bulk of people are inherently good, decent people.

However, the area is a mess, and not a great environment for people to thrive.

Man, get over yourself.
Tottenham is a shit hole, just like most of London is a shit hole and like you say, that's probably the same with most inner city areas.
Being able to admit to that isn't disrespectful, it's just being honest.
I've lived in some shitty areas and have loved my time there but that doesn't mean that I can't accept the fact that it's a shit area and call it out as such

It's not disrespectful, it just honest acceptance of the way things are.
Accusing anyone on here of knowing nothing about the area is more insulting than calling the place a shit hole.
In fact, you pretending it isn't is an insult!

That SA gunner just sounds like an absolute know it all prick. Reminds me of the kid in class that nobody liked because he’s full of absolute crap!
I’m sure this is the same pillock who constantly proclaimed how Arsenal would have top 4 sealed up before they faced us in the delayed NLD two years back. Went a bit quiet after they shit the bed against us and Newcastle. No shame, sadly

He admitted he hasn't lived in England for over 20 years. Give the guy a break, he probably missed the riots. 20+ years ago Tottenham was probably ok. Like how PlayStation 2 graphics looked good. He probably remembers it for how it was back in the day. Not the fact it hasn't developed much since.

Yeah, I grew up in Tottenham Hale/Broadwater Farm in the 80s/90s and riots (1985) aside it was great. 😅

Been back a fair bit since (lived in Asia 18 years) and it has changed a lot. Wasn't the best to begin with, but it's fucking brutal now.

I'm a teacher and there's no way I would work there or send my kids to school in Tottenham at the min.

To keep it on topic... The one comment in the match thread

What have we got to do? Possibly score from one of the many chances we create would be a good place to start. Yet again I thought we deserved something from the game, especially when one of the dying cockerels left the park, we had much more of the ball in the second half. Mighty Spurs had, as all opponents so far, more of the possession and every player seemed a yard quicker with faster reactions than everyone of ours with the exception of Ogbene.
I was surprised at the substitutions, especially Woodrow for Adebayo. The latter was showing some threat, the former never has. I suppose Berry was worth a try and apart from one good cross field pass I hardly noticed Barkley. Mengri must be near to making a start, he's quick, robust and he's a footballer, perhaps as a proper full back?
Having said all that, it was a very entertaining game and to be honest I was expecting more from Spurs.
Only one possibility for Man of the Match for me, Ogbene with no challenger.

Teta means tit in Spanish so I would say it's an adequate nickname.
One probably shouldn’t respond to oneself but it just struck me that Arrrteta then would be....

...Pirate tit.

no worries I will not be here all week

No, 20+ years ago, Tottenham was just as bed, if not worse. The place is a shit hole.

My dad was born and raised in Tottenham and left in 66. I've been going to Tottenham for 40 years, and it is, and in those 40 years, never been a nice place.

Anyone who says otherwise is either a, stupid, b, American and has been to New York...or Detroit...or Los Angeles... c, argumentative for the sake of it, d, think they are somehow protecting the club.

@chas vs dave say it how it is son. Shithole
