It's not just possession though is it ?
10 men 9 men whatever we had double the attempts at goal double on target etc and I didn't even look at the xg, xag,x o cist or any other x's I may have forgotten existed 🤔
So Lutin dominated us then would you say? As all their chances came in the second half after we went down to ten.

We battered them before the Bissouma sending off.

The data 11 v 11 does matter, because you expect a team with a man or two advantage to create and have the ball.

  • that boils my piss give us our goal you ##nts. we should hire private detectives to dig up the bung. That game was Fixed. all day fixed. communication error my sweaty balls.
Literally they do whatever they want. the sanctimony weve heard all week after a soft red and a false red and a non pen and a non goal and a trip to the crooked country that buys everything and owns our biggest competitior just 2 days earlier and now the same laws can be ignored to get it right a week later
Theyve got to be called up for not correcting the "mistake". "we cant do anything" aimed at the fucking replay kid because everyone else knew
  • No doubt the anti LFC c***s in the media and twattersphere will say that the Burnley- Chelsea stoppage was a result of our complaint so what are we whingeing about
  • That's not really working though, when they're still riding the "couldn't stop the match because of var protocol and the laws"-train for our case. Add to that, that I have not seen any news that IFAB have changed the var protocol or the laws of the game after our match and certainly neither the league nor the fa nor pgmol could implement such a change. We should be asking for that game to be replayed or voided because of illegal usage of var...
  • Has club drawn a line in the sand or still reviewing their options?
  • Find it odd - other supporters think we should "let it go" now. A week is a long time it seems

  • Not sure if we are biding our time and looking at what our realistic options are or are we waiting for Webb to do his promotional piece on TV. Hopefully it's one of the two and we aren't going to let it slide.
  • I think the silence means that there is maybe contemplation on what legal avenues are available and what financial recourse there may be should we, for instance, miss out on something significant by a point or three. For instance, we all know CL qualification is highly lucrative, and missing out on that revenue will impact us on many levels - from transfer budgets to sponsorship dollars. This will be quantified and I believe it will then be communicated to the PGMOL, and then left for them to decide how they think to best proceed. They might then revise their hard stance on the result and the idea of a replay. Or the club may lay bait, and only use it if and when we do miss out on something lucrative. We are still able to win the league or qualify for CL from here, in fact we are in a very good position to do just that.
It would be even more damning for the PGMOL I think, if Spurs are the ones to qualify at our expense.
Think there’s just lots of lawyering happening, but behind the scenes within minimum disruption to our team
  • Sick of the game and the c***s ruining it - include the players and their gamesmanship in that as well as the corrupt officials

  • but we don't have the audio, so how do we know what was communicated?
has PGMOL even been asked to release it?
  • Kovacic just done a red card challenge, then followed with another almost the same, no red.
If you genuinely still think nothing is going on you are naive as fuck.
I’m past caring now, absolutely no point as nothing will get done due to the full on tribalism in the game
  • I honestly don’t think it’s personal in some respects, the refs have been getting first class trips to Abu Dhabi and been given 20k for one single match, so if you are not as thick as a rock you can see that is far beyond what would be deemed as not only suspicious but so so wrong in terms of regulations. I mean people working for large stores aren’t allowed to accept as much as a fucking pen from suppliers, yet somehow the PL thinks a 20k one off game is nothing to worry about.
What my point is, is that Abu Dhabi owning city have their interest in city and anyone else that gets in their way is just collateral damage.
The game is getting ruined and if you can’t see that or even entertain the possibility with these trips to Abu Dhabi then you really are pretty daft
  • PGMOL? 3 refs get an all expenses paid, likely First Class on a certain 787-9, and £20k payment and they're fucking fine with it
    :butt

  • Anyone posed this yet? A completely different narrative here.
It's OK to hang the ref out to dry and talk about "ruining the game" when it's not Liverpool. Shouldn't they just get over it?
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67046430
  • Why are we still talking about this? It's Monday now, surely we should have moved on and just accepted it?
  • We can only move on when Gary Neville says we can move on.

That's where they need to be! :cautious:

There's a very unhealthy level of obsession/'blue sky thinking' going on with the Liverpool loss. It was a cock up, move on, do some crochet, or maybe just turn off the internet and step outside for a bit!

Arsenal Mania
  • Credit where its due, Tottenham have made a Fantastic start to the season. Ange has come in, and done well so far. He has been a fresh set of eyes on the Club, having not had worked with Harry Kane in the team, he has had a clean slate (in effect) on how the team operates.
Appears to be no Harry Kane hangover so far, the players have stepped up.
I do like there Stadium, that one tiered stand behind the goal looks impressive. Having American football at the Stadium, (using a different pitch) is an impressive idea.
Not much to laugh about regards Tottenham at the moment.
  • Both ourselves and Liverpool should have thrashed them to be honest.
But when you look closely at them, you can see that they are incomplete and relying more on luck to get by for now. And that is ok since they are just restarting.
Good enough to challenge for top 4 if they stay fit, but not complete enough for a title challenge.
  • Well , I’m odd ! Very odd !!
    I can’t hate Tottenham.
Yes I’m through and through an Arsenal supporter and finishing above The Spuds and beating them is always a pleasure but my boy hood hero was Jimmy Greaves and the gentlest of all humans is Big Pat Jennings , without doubt my favourite of all players .
Pat was the most natural of keepers and as for Jimmy G , one of the , if not the greatest goal scorers ever to play the game . YouTube is your friend should you have any doubts .
Saint and Greavsie was the most iconi of all football programmes.
Big Pat , YouTube will tell you all you need to know .
Two incredible players , two of the games most iconic players .
    COYG
  • I believe they are getting so much praise because many felt they would look as bad Chelski after Kane left.
  • Some of their player comparisons to ours are comical. How many times is 'Cuti' Romero going to be at fault for giving away a golden chance. He has at least two bozo moments per match and they compare this guy to Saliba. They compare Kulusevski to Saka, Maddison to Ødegaard, Bissouma to Rice. They also need to stop talking about Haavertz when they have Richarlison who is dogshit into his second season. 2 league goals in 35 matches. Its a crime against humanity this waffler is preferred to Jesus and Martinelli in the Brazil national team. Now wonder Tite got the sack.
They also have zero squad depth and the notion that not playing in Europe is a good thing is so false. Those European nights are how players get XP points, how they level up. You want your players to add pedigree to their game and they cant do that eating a Thai takeaway on Wednesday or Thursday nights.
This is why I want us to take the League Cup seriously. Winning begets winning and standards should be upheld at all times. If you think going out of a competition is a 'blessing in disguise' then you will not reach higher heights. I was alarmed last year when so many of our fans low key celebrated the EL exit to Sporting. Thats not how you build winners.
We saw that soft underbelly yesterday with Sp**s. Thats a team that isnt battle hardened.
  • And yet they sit top of the table having already played 3 of the toughest fixtures.
As long as their results match/exceed ours, they’ll compare and big up their players. We would do the same. Normal fan stuff.
This is unfortunately not the right time to mock them
  • Also on current form Maddison > Ødegaard
  • I've lost count the amount of times Sp**s have started better than Arsenal as a whole only for the 2nd half of the season to tell a different story.
  • They look good, and are in title form right now. This is their best start since 61 I believe.
It remains to be seen if it can be kept up though, as we’ve been saying here. I don’t think they are title challengers in the long run
  • They have also faced 3 of the newly promoted sides , a faltering utd side and an absolutely robbery vs Liverpool.
They've done well but we all know its going to end badly for them, can't rely on luck throughout the whole season.
  • they do look good this season, I like Ange
  • 4/6 of Spurs’ wins this season (current bottom 4)
Where does this thing they have for how dare we compare Maddison to odegaard come from? Maddison had more goals and assists playing for a relegated Leicester team last year than odegaard got in the same position bottling the league title. The this season Maddison has 7 goals and assists combined does odegaard have one?

The more comments I read from Liverpool fans, the saltier they seem to be getting - there's going to be an enormous cholesterol problem up there soon if they carry on like this. It's almost like nothing at all happens in Liverpool other than football and when it does they're being victims.

Was gonna jump on this one too. Honestly happy for them to keep this up. Saliba is great, absolutely. So is Cuti. Maddison and Odegaard are both great. As are Bissouma and Rice.

Keep on underestimating our players and overestimating yours. Makes every day all the sweeter.

It's ridiculous.

Maddison, hands down, is the better player.

Prediction: The investigation continues and is concluded, changes will be made to the process but Liverpool scream more and flap and throw their (probably shop-lifted) toys out of their proverbial prams, they appeal the non-decision, more investigations, costs millions, eventually after months it's found that one of the asst refs didn't file a claim for the reimbursement of their lunch correctly, got a £3.50 Tesco meal deal for £3 or something. They'll be made to pay the extra 50p back and the Scousers will call that a victory, justifying the dogged pursuit of a criminal and uncovering the corruption that's deep rooted in the PGMOL.

There’s some truth in the second half of your comment - sky definitely helped them with the fixtures and they got some soft calls - but the first half is straight up conspiracy nonsense that belongs on RAWK. Teams were misplaying them all season - my Norwich supporting mate still moans about how they set up to play them and that was on September or October! The idea that teams were chucking games en masse (it’s only their own careers) is just ludicrous
MaybeI was wasn’t clear but I’m not referring to the first half of the season because at that time nobody believed Leicester were a title contender. As the second half of the season progressed the Leicester for the title bandwagon grew. The games I referred to all occurred in the final third of the season. I don't believe anyone who watched the Swansea Leicester game can come to any other conclusion other than Swansea let Leicester win that game.

I'm sure it's just a coping mechanism. Liverpool couldn't possibly lose games and come anywhere other than first place without corruption. It literally means that every game they play they tell themselves they won despite the corrupt officials or lost points because of it. Literally a no lose in their own minds. Like telling yourself if you can't get a date it's not because there's anything wrong with you but it's because there's a secret pact between women not to date you regardless how great you are.

You only need to remember Lawro’s predictions where he didn’t have them to lose a single game in years. Collectively they’re a different level of species.
