It unfortunately wont because they'll move the goalposts to suit their agenda.

We would literally have to win every trophy every season while going unbeaten to essentially bring up whenever ex-players or opposition fans say/write stuff like this.

We're not dealing with people who want to apply context or actually be fair with their criticism, their sole aim is to talk shit about the club.

Was starting to look like a new dawn but in come cloggers like hojbjerg, dier and Davies and we're back to to the same old. It's like an infection that moves from old players to new ones. Hoping we can be active in the window and shift more of that mentality before it catches in the new players.

Neither of those players dial it in. They just aren't our best players so we are weaker when they start. Every team has them really, maybe City aside but they spend over 1bn on their squad. Also 2 were here under Poch so this narrative about the old guard not having the mentality is very misguided. It feels like when things go bad they always get the blame. When they leave I bet any money there will be new scapegoats in their place. The expression Spursy has always been nonsense because we still do better than a lot of teams and there are plenty of teams who screw up more than us.
