This is genuinely outrageous. If they thought the referee was against them last night, what on earth kind of officiating are they used to?! Was some of the most one-sided officiating I’ve ever seen.

Yep, in his interview after the game Madders was asked what was said during his little chat with Maupay during the game.
That was his reply
Whereas Neil Maupay very cleverly kicked the ball into his own standing foot to wrong foot Romero and Vic. No fortune at all in that one.
To be fair ours weren’t even that lucky - you flood the box with players and some loose balls will fall to you. There were plenty of times ricochets fell straight to a defender

I was born close to Brentford and all my uncles, my dad and grandfathers were Bees supporters. My dad took me to my first game in 1947, when I was eight years old, so I've always had a soft spot for the Bees, but not after last night. Maupay and Norgaard were getting right up my nose and the referee was disappointingly poor with some very strange decisions.
Anyway, we won and that's the most important thing.
