To be fair to him, it must‘ve been really tough to stay impartial and not be a salty little bitch about us finishing above Arsenal.... again

Saw on the betting that we’re 66/1 for the title next season but united are 15/2 and Chelsea 16/1. Not saying we shouldn’t be high but not that far apart from them two.

Both are likely to spend big in the summer and have a track record of challenging. The bookies aren’t going to expose themselves (oo er missus) to big losses by giving them bigger odds. 66/1 isn’t bad odds for us, while we aren’t expected to win, we’ve definitely got the players to put a consistent run together so it’s not out of the realms of possibility if the likes of City and Liverpool have a bad season or a dip in form.

Might have a little punt on that.

More fool them then. You’d have thought they’d have learned their lessons with Leicester.

If the odds are too low then people won't bet. They've learnt their lesson from Leicester but reducing the biggest odds from 5000 to 1000 haha.

Yet again every single pundit is a ****. At one time or another, they've all taken a coating in this thread.

Their crime?

When commenting on us they don't end their opinion my singing 'oh when the spurs' with their arms stretched upwards and doing the wiggly finger thing :D
In fairness, Merson and Nicholas do go over the top with the refusal to recognise anything good about Spurs. I don’t expect full impartiality from them, nor would I want it from Hoddle or Hughton about Arsenal for instance, but I don’t actually see ex Spurs players being so relentlessly biased about Arsenal (unless we count Roberts, who is a bit dim but also not employed by any mainstream media).

In double fairness, in the not too distant past, I've seen both praise Spurs.

I saw Merson say we’re likely to get top 4 under Mourinho, after weeks of putting him and us down, saying Kane won’t score under him, predicting us a loss in every match, etc, and he heavily caveated it with ‘but the football won’t be pretty and the players will need to change to his mentality’ so if you’re referring to that then, yeah I guess. What has Nicholas said?

shit, so we are going to lose.

Merson I can put up with because he’s thick. But Charlie Nicholas is just a nasty little man. You can tell nobody who works with him on that sky programme likes him. He must have some dirt on the rest of them for him to still be there.
Nicholas used to get abuse at WHL; and it still gets to him I reckon.

The arsenals charlie Nicholas is the queerest of them all
He likes a lot of bum and he's f**k all on the ball.
Oh you'll never see anything like it in the future nor the past with Charlie Nicholas on the wing and Don Howe up his arse
Lalalala, lalalalala (from mid 80’s)

o I'm not referring to that one comment ?

In the past l've seen them both say complimentary things about us, I haven't seen much of them this season but when we were doing well they were both, on a number of occasions, positive in their comments. But it isn't noted on here as it doesn't fit in with the fetish people have for giving pundits a good coating ?

If they give us a licking 90% of the time, 10% of praise doesn't make up for that. Not exact numbers but you get the gist of things.

I've always had an issue with these two and the fact that they are very condescending towards Spurs even when they do praise us.

OK so what's the accepted ratio for SC? Is there one? I ask because if there is, I haven't seen it. And if there is, are they spared the ritual slagging? Because I haven't seen that either :D

I remember a few years back I was on the Glasgow subway, got on to the carriage and there was this throat clawing stench of horrific aftershave. It was so strong it was blistering my eyes, but as I turned around and looked through the chemical induced haze, who was it that was the only man sitting there ? Charlie Nicholas, suited and booted with some absolutely awful brown shoes on.

Fucking hate him
