Alas he appears to have irretrievably damaged the few brain cells he had with his admitted over use of Peruvian marching powder.
Merson’s a loser
The negativity of the pundits is something else at the moment.
Was watching ESPN FC after the Southampton game and they were getting stuck into Jose big time. Yes, we were poor for a large portion of the game but they never mentioned our injuries or the fact that Southampton had a day’s extra rest. Never gave him any credit for making the changes and getting the win.
Just looking for any excuse to get stuck into Jose.
Feels like there are a few pundits who revel in the idea of Jose failing. (Oliver Kay, being exhibit A). I know he has rubbed a number of folks the wrong way over the years, but man, the level of vitriol is hilarious. Somehow he is a failure for not being able to take an aging shit show of a team, wave a unicorn wand, and a week later they're back to their best. What a bunch of tosh. We've sucked a lot. This season and last. And we've had some good fortune to win games we had no right to win. Last season was very much like that. This season a lot of the luck that papered over the cracks, slipped away with our results.
Jose is doing what he can to get thru a season riddled with injuries and poor form.
Want to judge him? Wait until April of next year, when he has had a full pre season, and three transfer windows to bring in the players he needs and cast out the ones who no longer fit.
If by next April, we are still getting our asses handed to us at home by the likes of Soton, then by all means, he deserves the criticism. But until then, they're all talking outta their dumb assess.
I think we need to change the the age-old saying from ‘those who can, do; those who can’t, teach’ to ‘those that can, do; those who can’t, spout bitter little diatribes to make their tiny little lives a little bit warmer’.I agree with everything you say except there is one mistake in your post. Oliver Kay is merely a journalist, he’s not and never will be a football pundit.
That’s the problem with these football/sports writers. They have all the answers according to themselves yet they earn in a year what Jose and his type earn in a few days. If they were the all knowing and seeing like their arrogance suggests, perhaps they’d be actually doing the job themselves?
Oliver Kay and his pals wouldn’t even be considered for an under 18 assistant managers job for teams in the 9th level of the English football pyramid, they don’t have the credentials.
Thats us isnt it lol.I think we need to change the the age-old saying from ‘those who can, do; those who can’t, teach’ to ‘those that can, do; those who can’t, spout bitter little diatribes to make their tiny little lives a little bit warmer’.
Still annoys me that one know-nothing twat can say something as wrong as he did and not get pulled up on it, or at least shot in the face. I mean, what he’s said is a blatant lie isn’t it?
If you google Jose Mourinho now, you’ll see several results like ‘grumpy Mourinho regrets taking Spurs job’ and it’s just not true and brings massive negativity to us for absolutely no reason. He should’ve been pulled up on it at the time. I’m now going to dedicate my life to becoming famous, particularly in the field of punditry, then aim to be on the panel of soccer Saturday by 2025 just so I can say ‘Arterta looks really unhappy every time he’s interviewed, he definitely hates it at Arsenal’.*
* I know it’s unlikely Arteta will still be in charge by then but it’s my daydream so fuck you.
** I’ll also use my new found position to kick Charlie Nicholas in the cock and rip out his stupid earring.
*** I’ll also pull Phil Thompson’s chair from him as he’s about to sit down.
**** I’ll also spit on Jamie Carragher while shouting ’you little dancer’ if he happens to be there rehearsing.
***** I’ll also shake Le Tiss’s hand and say ’you’re alright mate’. I like to leave things on a positive note.
You're scrabbling around for crumbs.. We were shocking v Southampton, and that was for all to see, especially pundits, who are employed to assess what they saw. Unfortunately the manager, irrespective of who he is, will take the brunt of any criticism. The negativity of the pundits is something else at the moment.

Compare and contrast the pundits' reaction to Ancelotti after Everton's streaky home win over Palace yesterday with their treatment of Mourinho after the Southampton win. Over the few games he'd stood in as manager, Big Duncan had already shown that the Everton squad wasn't as crap as Marco Silva had let everyone think, but the press coverage would have you think that Ancelotti was the new Messiah. You're scrabbling around for crumbs..
