This summer we have a few loan players coming back who were outstanding for their respective clubs,Townsend and Rose.
We have two of our top players Younes and Sandro coming back from bad injuries who will be like new signings.
We have a pool of young talented players from our under 21 team who have reached the final of their biggest competition.
We have integrated a number of new players into our squad who could well improve next season….Holtby,Dempsey,Lloris,Verthongen,Dembele and Siggy.
Our new management team is more experienced and more comfortable in their new surroundings.
Could our current strikers really be any worse than this season……….is it even possible?

Last season we finished in 4th and we didn’t get to play in the Champions league, this year we finished with over 70 points and still didn’t qualify.
We finished 1 point off 4th but we also could have dropped 10 points and still qualified for the Europa league anyway.

This summer Man city will be getting a new manager and will obviously back him with new top quality players.
Chelsea are getting Mourinho.
Wenger has promised to spend money and bring in new signings this summer.

We have a sold out stadium every week and 42,000 on a waiting list for available season tickets.
We need a new stadium but we need a major injection of cash.
So what would you do if you were Daniel Levy?
Would you invest 50 million or more on new players next season with no guarantee of success or would you sell Bale for £70 million and put the money towards a new stadium?

Stop, collaborate and listen.

But seriously, take a few weeks to take stock of the season and weigh up the options, all things balances Levy is in the best position to view things holistically.

Bring in a director of football, some preferably chosen by AVB and build a better balanced squad.

That is all we need to do, the final piece of the puzzle. Nothing will ever be perfect, but we can only strive and out biggest weakness is the balance and depth of the squad.

Sell Livermore, Huddlestone, Gomes, Rose, Khumalo.

Let Gallas and Bentley go.

That would get us around £20m or so plus a lot of free wages.

Invest that back into the squad and see what we can do. Unfortunately I don't see us spending much unless we clear the above players and get them off the wage bill. Improved TV money should mean we can go and buy another player as well as spending the profit from the above sales. Trouble is, not only us but surely all PL teams are now going to find it hard to buy from foreign leagues knowing that the TV money is at an all time high whilst other countries are struggling and thus need as much money as they can squeeze from transfers. Going to be a very difficult summer for premier league teams to buy players what with Madrid looking to buy, Bayern and Pep will surely invest, the likes of Monaco, PSG, Zenit etc. all have the money to splash and of course the return of Jose to Chelsea. Nevertheless I am sure it will be an interesting summer and as Andre said, we need to scout properly and make the right deals, no point splashing £30m on a player thinking he will do the business, I'd rather let Andre scout and make the decisions than we just go and splash £30m on a player who has only ever played in the Brazilian league but somehow demands us to break our transfer record by nearly double....

Extend Bale's contract.
Ask AVB who he wants.
Sign them as early as possible if at all possible.
Push the NDP as much as is feasible.
Have a cup of tea.

Levy will get Bale sorted first. If Bale wants to go then he will need to make his move and Let AVB find a replacement. If Bale stays then I think all we will sign this season is a striker.

We know which players must go and we have to address the striker problem for next season as a priority.

What we have is not quite good enough and the 5th place we achieved, although no way a disgrace, proves the point.

No messing about in the transfer window, just get in and put in realistic bids for the quality players we need.

Buy an island in the South Pacific and live the rest of my days living on whiskey and whores. In that order.

I would employ somebody specifically to look at defending corners.

Then sell Dempsey. Or just release him

I'd block forums on the company firewall and carry on doing what I have always been doing.

Only a select few know the real state of the club's finances and what the club can bear (accounts are routinely massaged and can be outright misleading sometimes).

Sell Thudd. Money that will be saved on Tomato sauce alone will be enough to invest in a striker. All we need is a top striker and a playmaker. Easier said than done astop quality ones don't come cheap.

Listen to what AVB wants or thinks we need to take us to the next level. If AVB want's to get his squad in place early so they have a pre-season together then so be it, no last minute "wheelin' & dealin'" hoping that we can save a couple of quid.
This pre-season is going to shape our team for the next few seasons and I want DL to back AVB as much as he can financially without damaging funding etc for the new stadium.

I would tell AVB that if he seriously wants to help keep Gareth Bale he needs to publicly support him in the face of terrible treatment from English referees.

Anyone, thought's on Negredo in light of turning Wet Spam down saying he wants to play for a big club? Is he worth a punt?

If I were Daniel Levy the first thing I'd do was Andre Marriner in the nuts or make THudd to do it.

Conclude transfer business early, 2 strikers with surnames ending with a vowel, a Portuguese midfielder who isn't Nani and a 17 year old left back.
That done, I'd go to the Caribbean for the tour and spend the rest of my summer on a beach whilst letting my newly installed director of football shift the dead wood with the help of my director of Football.
