And if we get more US investors taking over English clubs you could be right more breaks in games..

Fully expect Norwich to have their logo changed to a Witch in the near future then. Yanks won’t be able to understand the concept of somewhere that sounds like Witch not having a hag riding a broomstick on their crest.

Yes I know what you mean about some Yanks , when I was a cab driver picked up an young American lady she asked me if it was true that most homes in the UK did not have air conditioning !!!!!!

Frankly, no.

Most American owners are disasters for their clubs, especially for lower premier league/championship sides. Norwich are at about their realistic level currently. The current owners have kept them in the top echelons of the championship for several seasons now, with several promotions. Not sure they can achieve much more without significant investment, and clever experienced ownership. I don’t see them getting that from American owners. Americans have a long track record of coming into these kind of clubs and getting everything wrong. Look at the mess at Swansea for a text book example.

People on social media who demand that the club 'announce' a signing. Very modern/entitled football fan.

TV companies pausing pre-match build up to televise Liverpool fans singing You’ll Never Walk Alone. Great song, but the deference it’s given by BT and Sky is tiresome.

Combined 11s.
Greatest all time 11s.

Pointless bullshit. As @riggi would say, get in the bin.

I really dislike this trend of seeing players being photoshopped wearing the kit of a team they've been linked with.

Immediate skip.

Ridiculous kick off times for showpiece games including finals. 4:30pm kick off for the Championship playoff final on a Sunday?! That can’t help either set of fans with travel and, from a selfish point of view, it means I won’t watch the climax as I’ll be busy with bath and bedtime for the little ones.

I can only assume this was dictated by Sky to avoid a clash with the Monaco GP - which has been delayed so there will probably still be a clash!

The fact that referees and VAR assistants are still not REQUIRED to come before the cameras post match, be interviewed and explain themselves

I don't actually think we should grill them on camera. We all know it's not an easy job and they'll be aware they made mistakes every now and again. There's no point in them arguing with pundits, journalists and fans as it'll just cause friction and more distrust towards them. I do get we are owed explanations for poor calls, but there may be other ways. I'm hugely in favour of just giving them a mic, like in rugby. Let us hear their conversations with the other officials and players. It'll allow us to understand why they're making a decision. We're still going to have times when we disagree, but at least that way you'll be able to hear what's going on.

I get what you're saying and I have some sympathy with the point you make, however, when you consider their decisions get clubs promoted and relegated, I think they owe it to all of us to face the cameras and explain themselves for some of the most shocking and patently ridiculous decisions they make.

Refusing penalties for fouls inside the area which would always result in free kicks outside the area. WTF is that all about?

Syn_13 is right, I don't think this is a good thing. Players and managers rarely get hauled in front of the cameras to explain their mistakes. They usually get some softly pitched question around the mistakes rather than having to really explain their errors.

There should be accountability but not a witch hunt. Having them miked up seems the best method to me.

Should have been done years ago. I always assumed the reason was all the swearing from the players, but lately I’ve wondered if it’s more to do with the professionalism and integrity of the refs themselves. The refs seems completely against any form of transparency or accountability. Their standards seem to fall every year too.

It’s definitely to protect the refs. Can you imagine if we had heard Peter Walton trying to blag his way through a game like he does for BT while he was still actually officiating?!

Chelsea football club.

Fucking vermin, lowest of the low, vile pungent shitstain of a organisation which deserves to be eradicated from the future’s tapestry and drained from the dredges of history. It was possible to make that happen too, but the one chance for it has just been blown by HM Government.

And now they, yet again, look to scupper our transfer plans with Inter for Bastoni.

Chelsea (to all intents and purposes) getting away with being 1.5 billion in debt and being allowed to simply carry on without paying back a penny. Football authorities should be all over this, otherwise the likes of MC, NUFC, PSG etc can just roll with the same plan year in, year out.

The football authorities don't care, they profit from it. Happy for a small club to go under but won't touch the big spenders. They don't care where the money comes from, or how much blood it's been soaked in.

Got another one! ? A few years ago I went to a Tottenham Trust ‘Meet The Press’ evening. One of the journos (Gerry Conway?) said players are now so media trained, you rarely get real insights in their answers.

That said, the number I hear interviewed who begin their answer to any question with “Yeah, no…” is amazing. Kane particularly does this a lot. I just watched the ‘Tubes meets Eriksen’ video, and Christian does the same.

Make your mind up, guys! Which is it, yes or no? And you cannot phone a friend!
